People in the eNetherlands have experience with year-long occupations in an environment that was far less friendly to smaller nations. No presence on the map, no TWs, not even determination. You need more than a few weeks of occupation that is barely felt to convince people to betray everything they did in the past years. I wonder why you are even so hurt by it.

Just in the past few days we have been keeping the pressure up on our enemies and it will likely succeed anytime soon. Whatever the result, people have actually started to play the game and are having fun with each other and our allies. It looks like you are just making drama quickly before we actually are free.

The situation is really not that grim, as long as we stay on the map. For the ordinary citizen nothing really changes, except maybe free gold in a ridiculous amount of TWs. And the positive side is that we've seen a lot of activity, cooperation with allies (some that fight more for us than some citizens) and a renewed sense of what we are fighting for. Being in a dead and humiliated country - but free - neither does service to the citizens.
