***Update***
Several helpful people recommended to me that a 2nd Commander who is also NOT a Regiment Captain should be able to invite himself into the empty 10th Regiment. We have now tried this by appointing twisted-pixel as 2nd Commander. It does not work. There is no option available to do it. Here's a screen shot of what a Ghost Regiment looks like:

So we are still asking for a few more new members. JUST FOR ONE DAY.

Game Mechanics as it Relates to Military Unit Regiments

A "Military Unit" in eRepublik is basically a "team". For 40 Gold, you can start your own. There isn't any particular advantage to "owning" a Military Unit, though, since most of the benefits can be had simply by joining one.

When a Military Unit grows beyond 30 members, a 2nd "Regiment" is added automatically by eRepublik game mechanics. A Regiment is an important distinction because each Regiment can be led by its own "Captain" who has the authority to adjust battle orders uniquely for his/her Regiment. Regiments give Military Units the opportunity to promote members into meaningful positions of authority.

But when everyone in a particular Regiment leaves for a new Regiment (or leaves the Military Unit altogether), that Regiment becomes completely useless. Even the Commander of the Unit cannot move people into that Regiment.

The only way to recover an abandoned Regiment is if every Regiment with a lower Regiment number fills up to 30 members.

Easy Company's Little Problem

Easy Company has an abandoned Regiment.

"Back in the day", nobody booted anyone from Easy Company, even if they hadn't fought or worked since Y2K (Oh God, please tell me you people know what that is...)

At some point, Easy Company had accumulated over 360 members, most of whom didn't amount to a hill of beans. It was right after the time when Plato had announced a mission that involved joining a Military Unit, so every Multi of every Pfaggot who plays this game (ie. every tom, DICK, and harry) joined a Military Unit.

Easy Company ballooned to over 360 members, resulting in 13 different Regiments.

And then somewhere along the way, everyone in the 10th Regiment either quit or died.

And now we have a "Ghost" Regiment. We want it back.

An Offer You Can't Refuse

The only way to recover our 10th Regiment is if we swell our membership to over 300 again.

So Easy Company is going to make you an offer you can't refuse.

Join Easy Company (temporarily) and I will personally send you 5 Q6
tanks.

Here are the parameters of my offer:

1. On eRepublik Day 1612 (Thursday April 19), join Easy Company Military Unit.
2. Kill 10 enemies in any eUS campaign to become a full member of Easy Company.
3. Post your name and Regiment number in the comments below after you have done #1 and #2.
4. Be one of the first 40 people to complete steps #1-#3.

Sometime in the late afternoon/evening of Day 1612, I will personally send 5 Q6 tanks to everyone who complies with #'s 1-4, even if Easy Company does NOT reach the requisite number of new members to recover Regiment 10.

However, if we successfully recover Regiment 10, instead of sending 5 tanks to each person who qualifies, I will send 7 Q6 tanks to each person who succeeds in completing #'s 1-4.

In other words, it behooves you to shout the hell out if this. We need 40 people to respond.

Easy Company has NO EXPECTATION that you will remain a member beyond day 1612. We only need your membership long enough to recover our 10th Regiment.

However, if you are looking for a Military Unit to be a part of, Easy Company pays between 16 and 46 Q6 tanks per day. If you are interested, send me a Private Message. You will be most welcome to stick around.
