First, an apology.

This is a game. Remember?

And like any hour I spend with Scrabble (Bananagrams lately), Clue (my 8-year -old loves it), or a pick-up game of hoops, I play to have fun. I am fairly competitive, though, and like to succeed when I play.

When I play those games, even when I am playing with people I wouldn't ordinarily hang out with, it is the RULES which keeps the game fun. Have you ever played hoops with someone who just won't stop hacking? And because it's a "game", he doesn't care what you think about his fouls, his disrespect, nor his unilateral decision to ruin your fun.

What people like that fail to realize is that EVERYONE has more fun when EVERYONE plays by the rules. True, THAT GUY may have HIS fun breaking the rules, but at everyone else's expense.

So rules are important.

I recently attempted to break the rules. I posted an article which encouraged EZC members to sign up for a different (not to be mentioned) game. Doing so breaks the rules of this game.

In addition, in that same article, I laid out a plan to trade assets in THAT game for assets in THIS game. Doing so breaks the rules of THAT game.

Fortunately, David Wilson of the AMP reported that article and it got taken down right away by Admin. If he had not done so, I would have likely gotten myself into a situation where I would have been banned in BOTH games. I would not have liked that (though I know a few who would have rejoiced!)

I did not think my plan through carefully enough to even ASK myself if it followed the rules. (Truthfully, I knew that external advertising was illegal in this game, so I broke that rule knowingly. The rule about trading assets which is illegal in the other game, however, I was unaware of).

So, I want to apologize to EZC for what was a risky move on my part.

I hate rules breakers and in my eagerness to give EZC a leg up financially, I became one.

The thing that keeps me playing any game is the fun factor. There will surely be a gang of trolls who will capitalize on my misdeed by turning it into endless fodder for their juvenile humor. That is what they have done with every mistake I have ever made in this game, and I have made several (like the time I deleted Kara Beth's Forum account and heard about it endlessly for MONTHS afterwards. That was actually an honest mistake but you can STILL find people trolling me about it.)

Anyway, here's a shout out to all those loyal trolls who will remind everyone about this for the next 100 days. You all don't make this game any more fun for anyone but YOURSELVES (and most of you have your own set of trolls reminding you of YOUR misdeeds too.)

Now that that's over, let me get on with some other EZC news.

We are doing away with our Squad designations.

In the past we have have supplied our troops based on their Town Center level. While this makes some sense, it creates work. So beginning on day 1603 all Uniformed troops will qualify for the same level of supplies.

We are doing away with "2nd Requests".

In the past we have handed out supplies in two batches which needed to be requested separately. This created more work. So beginning on day 1603, EZC troops need only request once per day to receive their full supply of rations.

We are adding an elite level for our Heavy Armour Division.

In the past any uniformed EZC member who registered more than 50 kills qualified for 10 extra Q6 tanks. Starting on day 1603, HAD supplies will kick in at 10 Q6 tanks for 50+ kills, and Elite HAD supplies will add an additional 10 Q6 tanks for 75+ kills.

We are increasing standard supplies across the board.

In the past the maximum daily supply for any EZC soldier was 25 Q6 tanks if that person was Squad 4 HAD. Starting on day 1603, all uniformed/commune-working soldiers will qualify for 16 Q6 tanks daily. HAD supply offers a potential of 10 more Q6 tanks. Elite HAD means potentially another 10 Q6 tanks. So the maximum potential daily supply for our most active troops is now 36 Q6 tanks.

How are we able to increase supplies?

Ever since the rumours began to swirl about the demise of the OMS, I have been hard at work recruiting volunteers to donate some of their daily clicks to produce Weapons Raw Materials which are then donated to Easy Company for free. I have been wildly successful. We are currently producing enough Raw Materials for 1000 Q6 tanks per day. Prior to these new supply policies, this was roughly 66% of our daily need.

We are adding to our list of WAM volunteers on a daily basis. I have every confidence that within three weeks' time we will be 100% self-sufficient. So,

Easy Company will be leaving OMS on May 2, 2012

I have a pile of money on deposit with Mr. Andrews eCitizens Bank which will come to maturity by that date. By my projections, this will be a sufficient amount of dollars, along with the OMS money we anticipate receiving between now and then, to build the infrastructure we need to leave Government funding altogether.

More Commune Space has been added

With the daily influx of so much "free" Raw Materials, it has not been as necessary for me to employ as many people at market wage and sell their production to make money for EZC. This means that we have a growing number of Commune Jobs available. This in turn means that...

Easy Company is recruiting

If you know anyone looking for a Military Unit, this is a good time to join EZC.

*We hand out between 16 and 36 Q6 tanks per soldier.
*We have options for Q5 food as well.
*We are an extremely close community.
*We are welcoming of new players.
*We are dedicated to eUSA and Terra military interests.
*We are, as always, open to members of ANY political party

If you want to join, send me a PM (and a friend request is great too).

One more big announcement is coming
Rumours have been swirling around the halls of EZC HQ about a new Uniform...
