Hello my dear eRepublikans, I have just thought of a new idea that could make the game really interesting. I propose that the erepublik admins add ideologies to the game. Here are the the ideologies that would be a great addition to the game.
Dictatorship
Election: No
Private Companies: Dictator Decides
Congress: No
Wages: Dictator decides
Freedom of Press: No
Very high taxes people have to follow the leader unless they rebel.
Communism:
Elections: Yes
Private Companies: No
Congress: Yes
Wages: Equal
Freedom of Press: No
Communist states Will be able to vote on the national wage that every citizen of the country will have.
Democracy:
Elections: Yes
Private comepanies: Yes
Congress: Yes
Wages: UnEqual
Freedom of Press: Yes
Just like we have now.
Dictatorship/Kingdom:
Elections: No
Private Companies: If he wants them
Congress: No
Wages: The leader chooses
Freedom of Press: Leader decides
The leader has control of everything and citizens of the countries have no choice unless the rebel against the king. More on that later in the article.
Social Democracy:
Elections: Yes
Private Companies: Mixed
Congress: Yes
Wages: Unequal if you work in a private company.
Freedonm of press: Yes
Social democracy is a mix between private and state owned companies.
Republic
Elections: Yes
Private Companies: Yes
Congress: Yes
Wages: unequal
Freedom of Press: Yes
A republic hasn't got a direct leader but the people who are elected in each region run the country as equals.
Plutocracy:
Elections: No
Private companies: Yes
Congress: Made up of those who employ most people in country
Wages: Unequal
Freedom of Press: No
Plutocracy is ruled by the top cooperation's. Each of the co operations will get a region.

How countries transfer to these governments:
Countries can transfer in two ways. The current government can hold a referendum and the people vote yes or no on the suggested governemnt change. If the country votes yes above 65% then the government ideology will change. The second way people can change the current ideology is by rebelling against the current government and winning. This will be like a resistance war but people have the choice between loyalist and rebel.

there you go. And just in my opinion, dictaroships/monarrchies should have a congress with limited power, but the executive power can override. But it's an opinion. This would make the game alot more fun!!
And not to sound bossy, but freedom of press should be an option.
They discussed this at the summit funnily enough.

Why there is the US flag on "democracy" ?

So it takes events that are democratic in ideology to change the government structure? Would seem like there would be some way for Pfeiffer to assume Dictatorship without a referendum to provide it. You know, like extortion of admin, or military coup if enough militias got behind a figure, etc. 🙂
Interesting ideas.
I find it hard to believe anyone would choose to live in a regime with no free press or labor markets, but that may be my cultural conceit.
I like the idea of including "Plutocracy" (though I would not want to live under one).
Like it or not, these forms of government represent the majority in the real world.
These ideas strike me as being compelling as many of them are repulsive... they reflect the real world. But not the world as most of us would like it to be.

Dictatorship can be run by a group of people with a leader. It's possible for one to happen.
There are three basic forms of government: Monarchy, Aristocracy and Democracy.
Monarchy = rule of one, dictatorship, political power held by one person.
Aristocracy = Rule of the best, republic, political power determined by collective representation.
Democracy = People's rule, political power determined by open process among all citizens.
Philosophies and methods may differ but they all use variations of the three basic forms of government.

wow i would love for these ideas to get but into the game nd the dictatorship could be a single MU or party rises up against the country and fight and the president atm or commander become dictator with a select few as council and the rest as followers
Monarchy and democracy and Congress are perfectly compatible... It is seen in countries like Spain or the UK...

Communism was made to be democratic. The leaders corrupted it and made it a dictatorship.
^ True except it wasn't democrats, it was far-left wing liberals who had the idea that socialism is communism when they peacful take over a government, communism is when they do it by force. Just so the facts are straight.
