eBelgian Foreign Affairs is looking for ambassadors

Greetings, fellow eBelgians!

This article is presented to you in order to arouse the eBelgian enthusiasm on diplomacy and ambassadorship. Four questions stand out...



1. Why would I be an ambassador?

eRepublik is not just a game. It’s an online social community game. This means the goal is not just to beat a certain country or to gain a pile of money to swim in, but also to meet people from across the globe. The eWorld is huge and filled with exciting people and places... What are you waiting for to discover them?


Time to discover.

Next to that, you are a vital help for your country. While your work assures that our small but courageous nation holds its spot on the world map, you can not only get in touch with eCitizens from other countries, but also getting to know your fellow eBelgians better. Be part of the community and make it an enriching game.

2. What should an ambassador do?

The work of an ambassador can be described as a tripod, three vast pillars on which a good relation between two nations can be build.


The three pillars which make our nation grow till the sky.

a. Gather information. Follow the local newspapers and bring us important information (b.e. your host nation joins an alliance, attacks a nation, ...). We also ask you to write a biweekly report. This shouldn’t be a twenty-page essay, but rather a short overlook on your host nations foreign affairs of the past fourteen days, and how you see it evolve in the future. Such intel could make a huge difference for our nation.
b. Be a contact point. By joining their forums and IRC-channel as much as possible, you can become a bridge between your host nation and eBelgium. Whenever they need us (or vice versa) you’re the man/woman to direct towards.
c. Improve relations. Try to be friendly and you’ll find a community that opens its arms for people who are interested in them. By being open, you will talk a lot of new people and contacts.

3. Who is the eBelgian FA department looking for?

At this very moment, our diplomatic corps contains only four people: Elynea (France), our president Fhaemita Malodorous (South-Africa and the Netherlands), Djole1122 (Serbia) and MrGuillontine (UK and Canada). Of course the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to thank those people for their commitment and we are hoping for new colleagues for them in the following nations:

Poland, Hungary, Germany, USA, Spain and Turkey.



And for the Baltic alliance of ABC.



Having already a certain relationship with one of those nations is already a plus of course, but we are in the first place looking for enthusiasm and the good spirit to make the most of this opportunity! Every eBelgian is welcome.

We encourage taking up more then one nation. This might be a stimulus for you as well!

4. How can I start?

Contact either me (NicknameFromRonny) or our minister of Foreign Affairs (Jamster737). You can reach us in-game, on forums or on irc and we will help you starting up. During your ambassadorship, you’ll be in close contact with us and we’ll give you a hand when needed.
