Defense Systems for Dangerous Borders

It's a common fact that we border a number of hostile nations. Especially evident recently since Russia has pushed into our soil. This is why I am making it a personal priority to assist our nation through the production of defense systems. Check out McFarland Defense Systems:

In another week or so I anticipate having enough gold on hand to afford an upgrade to Q5 and all subsequent expenses. My plan is simple. I plan to gradually build and donate Q5 Defense Systems to the eUSA government for emplacement along our border. Once again, to be perfectly clear, I plan to donate these systems. This will be free for the government. I will cover all expenses out of pocket, in order to help provide for the collective good.

This will of course be over a long-term basis due to the amount of time it takes to produce even one defense system. It is my view that the investment is well worth the effort. If you agree with me, if you believe that this is a worthy cause, please do whatever you see fit to publicize this issue.

When I take McFarland Defense Systems active again, all salaries will remain at the minimum wage. In the construction market, this means that at times I will have workers as high as skill level 2. If there are any patriots with higher construction skill ratings and a willingness to empower our nation, I will find a place for them in McFarland Defense Systems.

the one issue with your plan is you will be sticking low level newbs in a q5 job when they are at a point where wellness is hard to come by. this could hurt newbie retention, which is the single most important thing to our future.
@ Chocolate McSkittles: You're absolutely right about that problem. I will encourage all future employees of McFarland Defense Systems to move on to higher-paying jobs as soon as they are available. My plan acknowledges the fact that there are often no job offerings for skills levels 0 and 1 in construction. For those who wish to build construction skill, something is better than nothing. My hope is that eventually I will have a full staff of senior citizens willing to work for our nation's benefit. I might reconsider the salaries later; I will have to see how profitable my other companies are at that time. I am already sheeling out a lot of gold just to upgrade the company; it costs 390 gold to go from 0 to 5; I will also be running a total loss on raw materials and salaries. My goal is to create and donate defense systems; if my other companies can balance out the losses from higher salaries, I might change my plans later.
Chocolate- Max did say he was looking for patriots. Maybe people with higher levels and some cash stored away could work for a week or two, just to help out. And this will definitely be a long term plan. It's sad though that someone has to donate defense systems to this nation. Months ago I and many others called for better defenses and hospitals throughout the nation, but were put down because that didn't work with the "game mechanics." Yeah, I know their strength is affected by population, but there are people in every state, so wouldn't they have helped even a little in Alaska or Washington?

You're welcome Max. Thank you. Like I said, a lot of people in the government and high level government supporters came down hard on those of us who questioned the wisdom of only beefing up New Jersey and Florida. Anyway, you reap what you sow...
I'd be happy to volunteer now to help out, but after tax I only bring in enough to buy one Q1 weapon. I had been saving up to try and start a company of my own but that will have to wait.

well, mainly good, and id love to see a double ring at all national borders, so if they take one state, they still have a tough fight through the next. even friendly borders, as once taken, they are an easy road up our keisters
Slight change to the timeline. I analyzed my profitability, and decided to upgrade a weapons company to Q5 and an iron company to Q3 first; these two upgrades are now complete. These upgrades should provide ample funding for the defense systems project.

I anticipate having enough gold on hand to upgrade McFarland Defense Systems from Q4 to Q5 in about a month, give or take a few days. With the other upgrades, I should also have more than enough funding for this project on a daily basis.

McFarland Defense Systems is located in Colorado. Hopefully Colorado is re-conquered in a month. Although, it would be somewhat ironic to build defense systems for donation to the eUSA using eRussian labor.
