CP Race Is Getting Too Spicy For The Pepper!
The Irish William Wallace
It looks like a lively country presidential race this month, which I'm sure I'm not the only one excited to see. We're in for a show, so why don't we make things too spicy for the pepper? 😉
My candidacy has been endorsed by my party, the one and only Independent Labour Party of eIreland! I am excited that my comrades, and others, will support my run. Having a lot of extra free time next month will certainly make administering the nation easier and hope united together we can keep up the progress.
Cabinet positions are open other than MoFA, I have a few applications for other positions but feel free to PM me if you're at all interested! You know, actually do something on this game...
With peace between us and the eBrits, we can now focus more on remodeling our government to be more efficient, more in-tuned to what the public desires, a vetting system to stop spies/sabotagers/PTO'ers from taking political office, and much more! Now is a time to be looking inward rather than outward.
This race is going to be a close one, with tough competition, and hopefully a fair and clean election race. eIreland does not need to be on the brink of another civil war. The last one had resulted in very active experienced players leaving eIreland or eRep entirely. Wow, it must feel good to have lives again.
VOTE INDEPENDENT LABOUR THIS MONTH, VOTE FOR EMPERORPALPATINE...
Oh and national funds will go toward building...

Good luck Mike!
If Mike wins CP again after doing literally NOTHING his first term, then I may have to seriously consider leaving eIreland. The people can't possibly be stupid enough to elect him, after that massive disappointment. It was a farce of a CP term he used just to get a shiny CP medal. We cannot allow Walking Dead CP season 1 to become Walking Dead CP season 4.
Maybe you are a little harse Bhane. Everybody deserves a second chance. Question is, who is willing to give it.
He duped all the eIrish that voted for him last time, and you want to fall for it again?
If he wants a second chance, then be a minister and do something for the community... ANYTHING. You don't get a second chance by being given the CP responsibility based on nothing. He has no resume of good deeds he has done to further eIrish interests and strengthening our community. There is literally ZERO reasons to elect him.
If you waste a CP vote on a "for the lulz" candidate, then you are a fool, AD. Spend "for the lulz" votes on PP, or maybe a low membership congressional party... but not the CP.
As you know, I was on the committee the last time so I know what did and didn't happen. Mike insists he will be much more active this time so I'm willing to go with that. I've given lots of people second, third and fourth chances here before I've given up on them. I'm sure Mike would be more than happy for any advice you might want to give him if he wins.
The University Project is only my latest contribution to eIreland...
Liam, I am all for a second chance. But, lets make that second chance be in the ministry of community, or something. Not all the way to CP before he has shown ANY motivation to better eIreland.
You don't promote a screw-up employee to CEO of the company and hope he'll step up to the plate. You give him a second chance by demoting him, and seeing if he can handle the responsibility at a low position on the totem pole FIRST.
Really Bhane, from all my time in Ireland all i have seen from you made me quite a "fan" of your thinking and opinions. I am very dissapointed after reading everything you said here. Even if half of what you say are right, this is not the way to talk for someone, especially when that someone didn't try to screw up this country, like some others tried to (some of them even succeded).
"If you waste a CP vote on a "for the lulz" candidate, then you are a fool, AD. " So by voting Mike anyone is a fool, is that what you say? Is this really the spirit that drives you to play this game? Is this the way you want to candidate against your competitors?
AD, I am not running.
If I was, I would not use negative campaigning. I would let others remind people of Mike's nature. He has filp-flopped countless positions. He has been diametrically opposed to ideal he held dear only a week before. He moves from one issue to another as a teenage girl moves from fad to fad. You cannot predict where his whims will lead him while he is CP. Or maybe he will simply sit and do nothing for an entire month, like his last term.
AD, you are clearly friends with Mike, and I commend you for going to bat for your friends in trying to defend him. But, you clearly do not have a very large sample of his behavior, or you would understand my hesitancy to support him. I am not attacking his honor, or his patriotism. He is a good guy who fights for eIreland. I am questioning his responsibility, and ability to remain level headed through the term. Mike himself has prophesed that he is far from being a stable person.
I trust him to be a teammate for our country
I trust him to be an eIrish soldier on the battlefield
I trust him to be entertaining in the media
I do not trust him with positions of major responsibility
AD, my doubts about a Mike CP term are not a personal attack. They are legitimate concerns based his past behavior, and our experience with him in the eIrish community for the last 3 years. I like the guy, but that doesn't make him a good fit for the job. There are people I like far less that I would trust with the position first.
The energy you use defending him would be better spent helping him rehabilitate his image in the community. Join a ministry with him and do something that will make a large, positive impact on our nation. Preferably something where Mike has to shoulder a lot of responsibility. That will help him earn the trust he will need for a serious run at the CP office.
When i first got elected in the congress, i remember Mike trying to run for CP in a totally different angle. An angle that reminded a lot how kunts work. I don't remember if you were a congress member at that time, but if you were i believe you do remember those pms.
I may not know him as well as you guys know him. After all i am the new guy. But i have seen change in his actions. He may still be a troll in his articles, but he is nothing like the Mike i met in congress 😛
"The energy you use defending him would be better spent helping him rehabilitate his image in the community. " Now thats more the Bhane i have come to know 🙂 When Mike's name hit the table as a potential candidate, i knew a lot of Irish citizen would hesitate voting him. Trust is something difficult to earn but extremely easy to lose. That's why at that same time i offered to help anyway i can and this is not the first time ido. Actually it is the third. Previous times i just wasn't chosen...no big deal 🙂
As a true Irish patriot, i believe he should receive a second chance.
Again... I am not arguing that he doesn't deserve a second chance. He has had second chances and third chances. We all have. Heck, I think he deserves fourth and fifth chances, if needed.
BUT, that "chance" should not be the office of CP. I want him to grab an opportunity at ANYTHING which requires responsible behavior. But, I'm not going to advocate that you should reward him with the top office in the land and hope he's gonna do it right this time.
He should have another chance to show he can be responsible for something important. He needs to show he can keep his cool and be a reasonable human being, even while under pressure. Maybe he can head up, and coordinate supply lines for a major MU, or something.
You can't give him the CP office BEFORE he has proven to be trustworthy. Then he has no motivation to improve himself. Give him his next chance to earn our trust, and run for CP AFTER proving he can be reasonable and responsible.
This has been a fair discussion and Bhane has legitimate concerns, certainly. Bhane has every right to not believe in me and I am okay with that. We can't count on his vote, but that is what this democracy is all about - who can conjure up enough believers to support their chance at being CP. Let's see who will win this month..
I have to concur with Bhane, Mike doesn't strike me as a person willing to take the CP seriously. If he wants a second chance as Bhane has stated perfectly then he has to earn it. So far he hasn't earned it and the University is a start but isn't CP worthy.
Looks like somebody watches American Dad 😛

i am interested by a place in the government concerning the build of the death star. if any...
Jolly good show
leave him to do what he wants to do you don't have to agree and you don't have to announce it publicly. Why don't you just keep it to yourself and not vote for him rather then announcing hes not good enough to be CP.
Welcome to my politics my friend 🙂
