Congressional Proposal

Day 464, 00:31 Published in China USA by capitacommunist101

Currently there is one congress proposal up for vote, one in which the taxes on food is lowered. William Lai (the submitter) in a previous article stated that he hoped to entice more companies into exporting food to China. But do we really need this? At the moment there is a Q1 and a Q2 company in China. I therefore think instead of lowering the import tax we should protect the internal market by raising the import tax of food to say 20%. Not enough to scare foreign companies away, but enough to keep our own food companies competitive and to increase the national coffers. Important is that we become economically independent now. We have our own grain company, two food companies, which is a start. I therefore urge people to vote against the congress proposal, and tomorrow I will submit another proposal to raise the import tax.

Another proposal I would like to submit for debate is the grain tax. The import tax on grain should be raised to 40%, pretty straightforward, because we already have a Q2 grain company. At the moment we have no real need for grain, and although the change may be superfluous, it helps protect our economy.
