Congress update!

Day 1,804, 05:51 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Lord Lewis Cromwell

Hi everyone!

With the dust settling after the congress elections, we're seeing another active team of congresspeople raring to go - and I'm one of them thanks to my lovely party and the clever people who voted for us, thank you! Along with my ESO brethren on the team I'll continue to be a dedicated and vocal asset to our nation and this will be the first of this term's updates from me.

Do some good!
The PM's cabinet are continuing their sterling work, as such I'd like to bring attention to this Ministry of Health article in particular as an example of the good work being done and new ideas being introduced to bring equal opportunity to all of our nation's players. Every single one counts!

With such an active cabinet, congress' job is made even easier and so we can expect a very successful term for all elected!

War, what is it good for?
For resources and activity, of course! In the midst of congress' discussions on our war situation with options for active wars with our neighbours to increase relations and keep our guns firing, Ireland seem to have given us another option to consider and so I hope that you don't find it stereotypical of me to declare "KILL THEM ALL! LET NONE SURVIVE!".

In seriousness though, we are aware that we need a training war and will have some news for our nation in the upcoming days as to what we have planned and who with. I'm sure we will all be very happy with whichever option is presented! Our focus until then is to remain dedicated to helping our wonderful allies around the world in continuing their ongoing successes, successes which have secured our region and surrounding zones and enabled us to have these considerations!

Citizenships
We're currently in the process of making a small change to the citizenship procedure. Previously, citizenship approvals were posted to the sensitive area accessible by congress/parliament members on our national forums in order to maintain a secure nation and ensure that those that can make approvals (congress/parliament) knew who had passed our standard vetting protocols (often referred to as "Mr Keers").

In future, though, these approvals will be posted in the Public Discussion area and everyone will be able to see who has passed and approved our new citizenships. This is a move that will hopefully increase transparency in our governance, which has rather vocally been called for lately. It is a small change that has received widespread support from the new congress.

Media presence!
Now that the elections are over, certain other parties seem to have gone quiet again allowing the rest of us to actually get some articles read! It's nice of them to have done this so soon after receiving their votes. Rest assured, though, that at least some of us begin our work and earn our merit, and will continue to do so throughout the entire term of our appointment! Every single one of us can now be heard.

You shall read another one of these later this week!

Be cool, stay cool
