Hello guys
I wanted to just stay calm and do my duties, but this made me get involved in the busy community again. It is about the coup which took place yesterday in eSouth Korea. Lee201cart found an interesting point of that coup, and I investigated about it more.
KKK Orea Let's take a look at this player. He is eSK player who has low strength and low level.
If we check the erep-deutsch site, we can easily find out that he changed his nickname from rokkkkk to KKK Orea on day 3451. Let's take a closer look at this player.
He didn't do something these days... In fact he should be a dead citizen. Why he is still not a dead citizen?
Because he logged in erepublik on May 2nd, erep day 3451. His country rank started to be counted on that day. That means - he didn't played erep until day 3450 but started to play this game again on 3451.
So, why I am keep investigating this newb?
He is in the MU which was used by romanians to MTO eSK yesterday. Maybe you will think perhaps he is a romanian, but that is not true. If we check his newspaper, RoK paper, we can find out he was a kind korean who held some giveaways for party members.

Then why the hell a dead korean erep player revived on the day of dictatorship? Why this guy is in the MU of MTO? He didn't even trained or worked. He didn't fight at all. Lee201cart took a screenshot of past-version erep deautschland playerstatistics(before server update) of that guy, and at there you can recognize something.
Latest update was April 14th, 2017. He was in the MU called Korean Patriotic Legion. However, this MU is not existing right now. At least there are no MU with that name. So, this guy resigned from his MU and joined Cornel's MU on the day of dictatorship? NOPE
His former MU is the MU which MTOed eSK. The name is changed to Fortele Aeriene Romane between April 14th and May 2nd.
If I google the player, I can see a bit of the former version of his erep profile page. At there, we can see that he was the Commander of that MU. He was the Commander of Korean Patriotic Legion, which is now Fortele Aeriene Romane.
Lego Empire Army is a MU where many RL korean players are in. He left the Lego Empire Army and founded Korean Patriotic Legion on day 3293. Since that was an one-player MU, he wanted to get involved in the community so he got in the Shield, which is the largest party in eSK. However he stopped playing erep 4~5 days later creating his MU. When a player don't log in for 30 days, the citizen account automatically turn into dead citizen and he is eliminated from his party automatically too. We can see when he left this game from the date he left Shield.
One more thing, the coup was started by KKK Orea, not by CornelB. How could the dead newb citizen had 1M cc in his account?
So, this is my hypothesis. I don't know I should keep call this by the word "hypothesis", but haha... please read on.
CornelB wanted to celebrate his MU with an exciting event. He thought MTOing would be fun for them, and started to think of his enemy. eSK was chosen.
However, according to the update of Dictatorship module, he needed a korean MU which is founded at least 50 days before the dictatorship campaign. Because of this, he contacted admin(or himself as an admin) and searched a dead korean player who has a nice MU. Player named rokkkkk had one, and there was no one in that MU except him. So Cornel decided to use it.
Admin gave the control of rokkkkk acc to Cornel, and he changed the account's name to KKK Orea. Cornel sent 1M cc to the KKK Orea account and with that money, he started a coup in eSK. Cornel joined the army and with the control of KKK Orea acc, he appointed himself as a commander. He changed MU's name to Fortele Aeriene Romane and gather his soldiers in the MU.

If we look at his comments under his giveaway articles, we can know he is RL korean. Koreans know that cannot be written by a foreigner.

I find it simple, that guy in April 14th appeared as a dead citizen so a romanian guy himself or with help (I mean, with a message coming from a SK player; don't know if you have some kind of internal wars) checks that and gets MU for free. The date the MU was created is intact and the following days they send the money until yesterday.
Why he just connected yesterday? Randomness, multi-account, (Perhaps you get a mail telling your country is having a coup and he just passed by?)
If the commander decides to leave the military unit without appointing any full member as new commander, following things will happen
1. If there's second commanders in the military unit, the highest ranked second commander takes his/her place;
2. If there's no second commanders in the military unit:
- if there's a member with a rank of Commander or higher who have been in the unit for more than 2 days, he/she will become the new commander
- if there's no members with a rank of Commander or higher who have been in the unit for more than 2 days, the unit will not have a commander until someone fulfills the requirements
3. if the commander is the last member of the military unit, the unit will be erased for good
Note: If the commander hasn't logged to eRepublik in 7 consecutive days, the commander will be removed and the above procedure will take place
Dead citizen's MU must be erased. Even if it is not erased, admins must not give MU for free to foreigners if there is dictatorship module. Also, that player had great relation with many korean players including me.
Starting from point 3( others are not involved), I personally know another MU in the same situation and still there; but thats complicated, if that citizen returns how do you give him what he bought (MU)?
I think erasing it it's not the best solution. Making it not visible at least ... but that should be so hard to do I think.
Anyway, it says if the commander "decides to leave", here he just deaded. Even in the note it takes to the "leaving MU procedure" and that didn't happen.
What I see it's a clear legal void.
It is true that erasing is not a good idea, but it is erep law haha

I hope you can find a reason because it's your country; but without knowing that player stats...
Well, that's the most similar rule in eR laws I suppose, but it doesnt regulate it, so inapplicable.
Master_rg's comment can be a nice hole which Cornel can escape from this, but if you think again opposing at this hypothesis with that reason is just an excuse. We knew that player very well, and we knew that he left us long time ago. He didn't spend his RL money on the game so he has no possibility to have 1M cc on his account 🙂
I agree with that, maybe he left account to a friend? maybe ghost multi (if he doesnt play he doesnt get banned).
That is something hard to know too.
If they get that MU in April 14th I think you say in the article, they can give money to the guy who took it and solved, isn' it? 18 days time.
I am calling that as an excuse. Of course he gave his account to his romanian friend who is interested in erepublik and the friend might contacted FAR. What a great luck.
This is the reason why I still call it hypothesis because there are some tiny holes that you guys can still make excuses. But if you look this as non-involved person, you will simply find which has more possibility 🙂
Oh that is true, MU can perhaps remain after they die. However that doesn't explain all other things
You guys? I have no relation with Romania, Im totally impartial, im just a poor recent player holding experience, but I knew the case I told you before and told you that possibility. If we look at rules it is possible too.
So if there is nothing we can say about this as "illegal" this has no sense.
Depending on each player it would be a nice thing or a bad thing, but always in a "moral way".

"POSSIBLE" means nothing. If we count that, we need to fear all the things that are possible. If there is something which is probably going to happen(or happened), we believe that. Of course we need clarification so I am keep investigating.
That's why im giving my point, because I understand your frustration.
Hope you get your answer. Personally, I don't like MTOs but I'm nobody and they aren't new in the game.

Just some details about "how playerstats at eR-D work":
In case a player is marked as dead, the system only updates him about once a month. This is needed in order to keep the traffic to eRepublik as low as possible as there are more than ~9 million accounts in the database.
Therefore it COULD be possible that the specific player was active again for some time, but the system just recognized him as an active player some days ago. That's an issue you can't really do anything about.
This is not the crucial part of my hypothesis, but thank you.
If eR-D updates dead citizen's playerstatistics, it contains his one-month record right? Like exp, rankpoint, level graphs. He had no record at all from April 2nd.
He could be an active player before: The system shows a zero line in those cases as we can't calculate the daily growth in strength, xp etc. correctly. Also the "update once a month" is an approximation. In certain cases it could take longer or it could be faster. The shown charts can just be calculated correctly if the system checks a user once a day which simply isn't possible when I would've to check 9 million accounts a day.
That means that in case of this example, it takes the the current values in str and xp as new base. Long story short: He could've been training, fighting and stuff before. His new values became the new base for the statistics.
We can't really do anything about it. If we would deal with it differently you would have charts which become unreadable as some people may get e.g. a strength grow of literally 5.000 points on one day.
That means, he once turned to dead but he could come back on the time which we cannot know at all. Alright then I need to send ticket to Admin for this.

well fyi , romania had SK under pto some ages ago when you were not playing. so they MAY had accounts there from past for that use 🙂

I was playing erep when Romania PTOed us, just with another account. I left the game and returned back.
Sorry to say, but this game lost it's way long time ago. Admins can do whatever they want, and we can only watch it 😛 Be smart and don't buy anything from them, and maybe some things will change. Play for free 😛 After all, this is a "FREE ONLINE MULTIPLAYER STRATEGY GAME",

Anyway there's a way to steal dead accounts, even if admins didn't actually help. But that should be a reason for ban. In a normal game bans would be applied, but you know... this is eRepublik...
