Cheap Labour!
Tom Falco
One thing I've noticed over the last week or two is that my pay check at the end of the day after I've done a hard days labour has been decreasing, going from £235 (before tax) now down to £180 (before tax). Fortunately, this seems quite good when compared to the job market, even thats been decreasing - this morning the top paying job was £150 (before tax) and now it's £80 (before tax).
So I'm just wondering what's going on? Maybe we're having a reccession and quite simply maybe China is now mass producing cheap products.
So what would I suggest? Well, keep buying Tom Falco's products. Not quite. I'm guessing it involves buying Britsih Products which will allow employers to pay they're employees a little bit more.

The massive increase in the cost of raw materials is the cause.
I had to fire all my employees, I was losing £200 or more every time they worked.
Even now, it is barely profitable making Q7 (£5 made from each employee, paying them £100) and all other Qs are a loss making endeavour
Exactly what TheRover said.
The rush to buy and the high price of Q7 weapons spiked WRM prices and salaries. Prices seem to be slowly coming back down now.
This is going to sound absolutely completely dumb as I'm only just learning the game but from a (real life) business student, isn't it best for you to create the raw materials yourself instead of buying them in? That way you don't suffer when prices fluctuate.
I mean I currently have;
1 Food Factory
1 Weapons Factory
(both level 1)
3 Grain Farms
1 Iron Mine
As you may have guessed I've only bought the iron mine and weapons factory but I bought the iron mine first so i could start ...
making the raw material first.
I also haven't employed anyone, I do all the work myself. Admitedly at this stage, I use everything that's produced because I don't produce a lot but I would always buy more raw material producers first because if you make too much raw material, you can take advantage of the high market or just generally make a bit of money even if it's low.
.....
I'm actually quite lucky because I've just bought my first storage upgrade before the wages went down so I'm becoming more self sufficient.
Also, I've noticed that we/I can't buy stuff from 'anywhere' like erm Italy even though they are our allies. Have I got it right; we have to be in that particular country and/or have to buy a licence to buy and sell (from the offer screen in the storage section) in that particular country?
