I'm sorry that your feelings are so easily wounded. As a politician, you will always meet people who remind you of your past actions. You just can't avoid these situations completely, even if they are more of the tongue-in-cheek variant than actually intended to cause irritation - like the comment in question. The best way to deal with that is to grow a thicker skin 😉 After all, who wants to be constantly outraged with all the little annoyances life throws our way? Spending one's energy on happier/more productive thoughts is more rewarding in the long run.
