A good leader does not let things get personal. A good leader must maintain a constant clear and calm frame of mind.

Be like the bamboo that bends with the wind. For it is flexible unlike a tree. While the tree is harder than the bamboo, with enough tension it will snap. Be like the bamboo.

As a french authors' lover pointing at Rousseau in every one of his article, I'm disappointed that Mr Newmann talked about trees and bamboo instead of "Le chêne et le roseau" by La Fontaine.

Clear mind and calm fram are great but not enough to be a leader.

Experience, trust, good team, good communication with the oppositon are important too. You can be a wise man but with the will of a deaf person, a team composed of people who prefer to act alone by knowing nothing and a bad attitude to speak, you'll become the worst leader.

Be a bamboo but be a good one with strong bases. The bamboo can't snap but can be reaped.
