An Alliance Worth Considering

Day 1,888, 11:15 Published in USA Serbia by FirstLaw
I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you want to improve player retention and participation, you have to make the game interesting! Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case in the past few months.

This issue really hit me when I had just achieved my Mercenary Medal yesterday. I have over a dozen such medals already, so it's not shocking news, in itself. But this was the first Merc Medal I achieved that didn't include the eUSA as one of the 50 countries that you have to fight for.

Pardon me for saying so, but THAT is pathetic. It just goes to show how long it's been since we've had a war, an engagement, or other military encounter. Because of our Bonus Plan, there aren't even any resistance wars against us. Frankly, I'm surprised the eUS military has put up with this state of affairs for so long considering how much influence they are suppose to have in politics.

Instead, we've had the formation of SPQR. But it seems that unless you are a member of the Old Guard, this isn't much cause to get excited regardless of how much you chant the same slogan.

Second, we've entered, yet, another alliance; The Circle of Trust. "It's going to be different this time", they tell us, "We wrote a charter and everything!" Yeah, right! Alliances don't do it for me. They are exercises in mental masturbation by too many political science majors with too much free time. I'd rather see our country kick some arse; even if we go at it alone. This game should be enjoyed so make it interesting.

Sure, some of you might like the idea of alliances. Fair enough. You should have consulted me first. My idea for an alliance would have rocked!

Here's my suggestion of the alliances core members

Observe...

United States of America
The eUS ambassador of the alliance would be none other than Gianna Michaels

She's the classic rags-to-riches story that has made the US such a great country. Plus she's got the sass and attitude that makes Americans what they are.

Brazil
I would tap Sabrina Boing to be eBrazil's ambassdor to the alliance.

She's very festive and there's sure to be a party any time she shows up. Just think of what that would do to the alliance's longevity.

eUnited Kingdom
When I think of charming eUK ambassadors, Keeley Hazel as it the top of my list.

There's something about her British accent that can melt the heart of any cold-hearted enemy of ours. She'll do fine as the alliance's spokesperson.

Germany
Bettie Ballhaus started off modeling for her own website. Then got herself into reality television in Germany and has been an unstoppable media force in that country.

She can execute any PR needs of the alliance with ease!

Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is loaded with beautiful women, but to keep the enemy off guard, I would have to nominate Laura Lion.

She has a girl-next-door look that makes one lower his guard. But once she gets you into a back office negotiation, she's impossible to say "no" to.

Poland
Actually, the only country that seems to be dominating eRepublik on a consistent basis is Poland. So including this country is a no-brainer decision. I doubt that they could have accomplished what they did without Ewa Sonnett.

We would need to include Poland just to get her on board.

Romania
Estelle Taylor has recently made a big splash in the global community, so not much is known about her.

Rumor has it that a friend of a friend of an agent discovered her in some village driving ox carts and churning butter when they decided to turn the fire hose on her, and this is the beauty that resulted. Rest assured, the star is rising on this rookie.

Russia

You may recognize Anna Semenovich if you have regularly followed my paper. If not, then you have some reading to do.

She's a former figure skater turned model-actress-pop diva-socialite. She may even become the next Czar! She's done everything. So there's nothing to fear from our enemies with her on board. She can take anything they throw at her.

Japan

Don't mess with Hitomi Tanaka unless you want the horns from this she devil!

When at war, put her in leather and in head of the military. Problem solved. She's a spitfire!

These countries would represent the core membership. Other countries can sign on board as talent permits.

The important thing is that you need to make the game interesting. If we're going to waste time with alliances, make sure it's one that people are willing to join!

That's free advice!
