Aiding Nigeria

Day 3,392, 07:51 Published in North Macedonia North Macedonia by Tom Falco

Over the last few weeks, I've been watching Nigeria. They're currently fighting to hold on to what little land they have. With this, they are unable to build a sustainable economy as they do not even have 'secure' land to build factories in. Without factories, people can not make profit and employ people. Without profit/employment, people can not afford to buy goods. Without goods, people have very little chance of helping in the wars.

We have no obligation to this country as they are not our ally or will provide us with any help should we need an ally in a war. Any of our citizens that have a trade license with this country make little to no profit. There is no political case for supporting this country and very little economic case for supporting them.

However, as we have not got any natural enemies and have alliances with countries that have alliances with Nigeria, we should consider helping Nigeria. One particular alliance we have is with the UK. The UK has an alliance with Albania who have an alliance with Nigeria.

If we can aid the establishment of this country, we will be able to profit from supplying them with what they need until they are able to produce it for themselves.

I do not think we would benefit from directly aiding them in war. If we could somehow prop up their trasury and aid their ally, Albania, by supplying them, they will be able to do the fighting on our behalf. I do not fully understand the politics of this game so there may be other ways that we can aid Nigeria without directly fighting by their side.
