A Reality Some Players are Too Stubborn to Face

I win the Internets for posting a redhead

Good Evening eAustralia,

At the moment in eParliament, eAustralia's 9 remaining senators (Jeffery Skilling resigned) have a critical choice in front of them.

That choice is, do we or do we not, MPP with eChina?

Prime Minister Draim Alexander made this post in the senate chambers:
We got a request from the Chinese CP asking if we would like an MPP with them. At this point I think it may be a smart move, it obviously could put us at odds with CoT and TWO some but we have not been getting far there and I am very happy explaining to them that they couldn't expect us to sit here with no MPPs forever while they refused.

Opinions? If the senate is in general favor I would ask the speaker if we could authorize a joint vote after the discussion period (where we can propose the in game vote while the forum one is still going )

In an edit afterwards, he acknowledge he didn't run this past most of cabinet due to timing restraints.

The proposal has been meant with two different styles of opposition so far.

Those along the Xavier Griffith line of thinking, who like the idea, but a more cautious and still want to give the (taking forever) CoT Court time to make a ruling.

Then there's with the Tim_Holtz line of thinking who would prefer us to be neutral, work with CoT and avoiding angering that alliance by siding with an EDEN country.

However, there is hope!

The Green and Gold Party senators are leading the charge and making the solid argument of why we must ignore CoT and start making friends, including that of eChina.

Senator Mr Crumpets (GGP) argue😛
We win the case, what happens? Nothing.

Elephant in the room is Indonesia. They have been proven to ignore alliance orders before and will invade Australia at any damn time they like.

This was quickly supported by GGP Party President, Senator Majester:
It makes no difference to Chile and Indo which MPPs we have. They want our land. They have taken it. Everything else is noise.

Until CoT is prepared to withdraw from Australia, MMP who you choose to make it so.
After all, Australia will not be part of CoT as long as CINZ have a say. We can fight with friends in occupied Australia, or wait with enemies in occupied Australia.

The old argument will no doubt come up from some Aussies and Crusader Carl of 'how do you feel being wiped'?

We must ALL FACE THE REALITY, eAustralia will always be under attack.

Indonesia will always be after WA and attack us when they need a morale boosting win. Chile has had the taste of power and will want to keep it. Finally, when New Serbia (NZ) get board, we are their only realistic target.

Plus here's something you guys might not have realised... this game is now geared towards WAR! Some country, somewhere, will want to attack us, because that's how the game is played!

The fact is, being neutral is not playing the game.

It kills any chance of babybooms and a number of countries won't want to side with you, because you're seen as little or of no value.

HOWEVER, but finally admitting to ourselves that we will never be accepted into the CoT alliance or be on friendly terms with our CoT neighbour (hello, Indonesia) - it frees us up to look at other options.

By signing an MPP with eChina, we accept our fate that we will be attacked, but we change our attitude as a nation.

The attitude turns from accepting the oppressors, to jumping the trenches with new (and some old) friends and saying "we ain't gonna take it no more".

Sure, we'll lose a lot of battles along the way, but their are two positive points for this nation...

1) We make new friends when we MPP with other countries - that is, we chat with their citizens/fighters on IRC and get to know them.

2) It helps a babyboom. You can advertise freely that we are fighting to be free - patriotic stuff that gets people to sign up and play the game.

An MPP with eChina brings positive. A no vote to it, keeps us in a lull with no sign of where this country is headed.

I call on the other parties represented in senate, to ask their senators to vote YES to an MPP with eChina.
