Running for The Binary Party

Another month has passed and it is time to choose who to rule eNorway. This election seems to be without any unknown (aka. PTO-ers) candidates. Maybe they gave up Norway and focused their efforts to some other small country. Who knows (feel free to leave comments). They might be back in June, when we're all out on vacation.

Vote me, vote me, ME!

Out of the five esteemed candidates we find TeK's own Eris Caelestis, RussK for Kapital Partiet, Christard for Patriot Partiet, olavsal for Demokratene and finally me, Tommy Skaue for Binary Party.
Nice to see so many parties putting out viable candidates. All players who have some recognition within the political game of eNorway. That is reassuring, knowing we won't have to struggle with some wiseguy attacking Russia and UK before we can put him out of business. This means you in general can't go "wrong".
I can't honestly say I believe the smaller parties will get enough votes, but then again, I'm no fortune teller. If Eris pulles this off, she wants to aquire the two regions of Sweden. Not sure why, but at least that is on her Goals. At least Eris has no plans of attacking Russia and UK, and neither have I.

EDIT: The regions are not core regions of Sweden, but Denmark. The devil is in the details 😉

Who is Tommy Skaue


Yeah, I know! I'm not as cute and charming as Eris...

First of all; who am I? Well, I'm Tommy Skaue, for real. So basically I can be "Googled". I am a 32 year old geek who works as a Software and Systems Engineer. I'm old, but not older than Cirno (at least the rumor has it). Furthermore I am married and have three kids. That is pretty much all you probably want to know about the real me before getting bored to death.

Ingame I am a politician. I've been in congress for Binary Party as long as possible. I joined eRepublik in November, and I have been in Congress since December. I've been in the government the last three months as Minister of Finance and Vice Minister of Finance. The last month I was The Binary Party Party President.

Something about politics


This is not meant seriously, so relax already...

I've been active on IRC and forums all the time. It is my opinion that we need politicians who are willing to show themselves in these areas to maintain democracy. If Congress only consists of two clickers who seldom or never visits IRC nor the forums, we have no means to discuss and prepare good Congress proposals. The forum does this, and I urge the politicians who wants to be a part of Congress to use the forums. IRC is for our day to day chats. Here I get to know all the cool players of eRep. Several of the running candidates this election are my IRC buddies, and they probably will remain that after the election.

There are not really anything I'd like to change. The taxes are sane, in my opinion. We still are able to make sure only healthy proposals are getting through Congress. The major parties, BP and TeK have so far cooperated decently in keeping the functions of the government working properly. The economics are getting back to normal after the PTO. I don't believe it's where it was in February, but we are getting back. If we keep making sure the Norwegian economy grows and is stable, then I believe the growth will continue and hopefully we will see my goal of 10% growth. Maintaining a stable currency is therefor important.
We have also added new military protection pacts (MPPs), which will most likely keep our soldiers busy for a while. To be able to pay off these, we need to make sure we have enough tax payers within our borders.

Final words

If you are confident in running establishment, then your vote is probably safe with both TeK and Binary Party. If you also want me to be your president in May, then I am more than willing to take the job. You can rest assure that that Binary Party is ready to fill a running government if needed, but personally I have no problem with inviting esteemed colleagues from Congress to work for eNorway's government.
