A Few Days Respite

Day 2,235, 10:32 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Invalidation

So I'm not going to dwell on this too much, but basically a lot of bad things happened when eUK not only failed to elect me, but went on to fail to impeach a missing CP.

There are lessons to be learned here:

Buttons need to be pressed and by this I mean the buttons that only one player in the country has access to (attacking regions and proposing MPPs). This player is the Country President, if they cannot press them correctly then nobody can and everyone has a problem.

Buttons need to be pressed no matter whether you like the CP or not. If he is not doing his one job then don't try to prevent somebody else stepping up. The Country President isn't some King of the Hill position to hold and show your team are winning.

Buttons need to be pressed and that is the CP's job. Its not about having a special title to lord over other players. Its the job you have been elected to do: your duty – not your prize.

Buttons need to be pressed so if the button presser goes inactive you bloody well impeach him. If you're just trying to protect your friend by blocking impeachments then you are harming the country and so harming yourself and all your friends.

Buttons need to be pressed so you elect someone who is going to press them correctly, not someone who promises you a million other things - they will not deliver.

Also avoid being the parties to support known (apparently only in hindsight...) traitors, yeah?

Now I'm just going to help tick things over for a few days until you elect your next button pusher. We've had a demonstration of what happens when you elect a traitor, now its up to us to actually learn (expensive) lessons from this.

I shall retain the interim government exactly as it is, including Lord Farhan as figurehead. I have high hopes for his future and at this point he will do a better job than me anyway. All I want now is a smooth transition for the next government, and for some buttons to be pressed properly for the first time this term.

Stay classy eUK.
