A Dubious Adventure of Count Pheenic the Third

Day 552, 03:01 Published in India Austria by H. S. Dovewatch

Pheenic and Shail landed at Orissa Airport. Shail grabbed his briefcase and they both ran out of the Airport and toward the centre of Bhubaneswar, all the time keeping the Orissan Lok Sahba building on the Horizon.

Knotsworth and Blazed landed at Tamil Nadu Airport in their private jet. Blazed grabbed Knotsworth's shopping and they both ran out of the Airport and slipped into a waiting limousine.

Count Artemis Thomas Weldrick Pheenic the Third and his loyal companion, Shailesh Goyal Back, were cowed into humble creeping with their heads down before the Mighty Indian Government Bank.
The flags of eIndia and the statue of Dionysus loomed in their almighty majestic awesomeness as Pheenic and Shail approached the vast building.
"I do wish we hadn't have gone to that Bureau and been found by really evil people to be searching for the lost Gold Standard and I do wish that we didn't have to look for help from Arjaa Aine to combat Ambrosia Holdings and Ambrose's, Blazed's and Knotworth's evil plans to conquer the world." Shail whispered
"And that's brought everyone up to date with the story" said Pheenic "Let us open this giant reinforced door and go in".

They knocked. A little man in a jumper and shirt opened up the door.
"Hello, how can we help? Oh, before you ask there are no free Samples."
"Ah hello little man" Count Pheenic smiled a superior smile "Do let us in and guide us to your mighty leader with the power to combat the forces of evil"
The little man cowered somewhat and looked very confused, Shail popped his head out from behind Pheenic "Hello JackJack, could you take us to see Arjaa please?"
"Oh, yeah, sure" JackJack jumped back into reality "This way please" he said while walking down the corridor and keeping his distance from Pheenic.

When they entered Arjaa's office, JackJack ran off with considerably haste.
Arjaa Aine himself was counting gold. He looked up. In his unbuttoned shirt and necklace he didn't look like much of a Bank Manager, but they way he held those gold coins anyone could tell he was. "Do take a seat" He studied them while they sat down, then nodded. "So, what's the problem?"
After they had relayed the whole story to him, he nodded again.
"It certainly sounds important. But I believe the solution is simple, hire a Mercenary.
I'd suggest David Forde, obviously you have freedom to choose but as a cautionary note: Choose him or never leave this place. Also, if you do decide the choose him then I'll get the IGB to pay him"
"It's a hard decision, but I'll think we'll hire David" Said Pheenic while pulling what looked vaguely like a pondering face "Can we have his contact number?"
"I'll contact him, don't worry" Arjaa smiled "Enormous Enemies Easily Exterminated, that's his Slogan. He'll probably do it within the week"
"Err, great" said Shail "Is there any chance of a coffee while we're waiting?"

The story for Knotsworth and Blazed was not too different.

They had entered Ambrosia Holdings main building as usual, and then made their way directly to his office.
He had already been told what had happened, so, as per normal, Ambrose Didymus was fully prepared.

They stepped out of the lift into Ambrose's giant office. An enormous sheet of glass that took up most of the back wall gave a splendid and powerful view of Chennai. The other walls were lined with books about Australians, but other than the book shelves only 2 pieces of furniture existed in the room: A large desk directly in the centre and a swivel armchair behind it.
The desk was immaculate, as was the man who sat behind it.

"Good Evening Gentlemen" Ambrose Didymus' voice boomed around the office.
Blazed and Knotsworth stood in front of the desk, hands clasped firmly behind their backs.
"Now then" Ambrose slid a folder across the desk towards them "This is your record, and this record is broken. Up until yesterday you two were stainless. A better BS officer I have never met" Ambrose glared at Knotsworth, before turning to Blazed "and a more skilled swordsman I have also never come across. This completely clean record, gentlemen, has been broken by your failure to capture or kill Pheenic. Because of said stainless record, I am going to go against my very nature and give you one more chance. If you fail me again you shall face my wrath"
Ambrose's voice stayed calm and level "Is this understood? You may speak"
Knotsworth pushed his glasses up his nose "Yes sir Ambrose".
Blazed nodded "Loud and Clear Sir".
"Good. Fortunately for you both, I have taken the time to hire one of eIndia's best assassins to do your job for you."
From behind the desk, a man rose up out of the floor. Dressed in a White Suit and holding a gun between his clasped hands, he stayed perfectly upright and silent while rising up from the floor.
"This gentleman is known to the masses as Srachit. He is, as afore mentioned, an assassin. He has been tasked to find and kill Count Pheenic the Third. You, Blazed, will go with him in his Helicopter. I would wish you luck but I'll pay you instead." Ambrose turned to Knotsworth "While you, Knotsworth, have a meeting with HR and PR in 10 minutes. Do your duties".
They filed back into the lift, along with the silent Srachit.

Within 10 minutes: David Forde and his assistant were informed of the arrangements; Blazed and Srachit were in a helicopter, flying toward Orissa; Shail and Pheenic and Arjaa were drinking some bl***y good coffee in Arjaa's office, while Knotsworth was pretending to listen in a meeting.

Tune in again next week as Srachit and Forde face off, Pheenic and friends are captured and Ambrose drowns a cat in the amazingly awesome epic adventures of Count Pheenic the Third!
