[UKRP]Some Fun For a Change

Day 2,003, 19:31 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Dishmcds

Quite some time ago, most of us enjoyed a quiant, quiet little game. It was a community game that made you think. You coordinated hundreds of people (you have to remember scale to size of game here) to get what you wanted done.

It was quite nice.

At some point, you realise that they direction of the game, that is where it is going and where it came from are not the same, and perhaps you lose a little interest in it. To some degree, you just become bored not wanting to spend money, but rather enjoy just talking to your friends.

Personally, I'd like to return to that at some point. There are a few dozen people that I'd hang out with, or even perhaps grab a pint with if I ever had a chance to, but for the most part most of the people I used to hang with are gone.

One of the main differences that I've found between the UKRP that I know and what everyone else might see it as is that we're built to be a solid community. We're not over the top game mechanics people, nor are we total role-play enthusiasts (as some might make us out to be given a grudge they have against one of our members in particular and the fact that he doesn't know how to get along with others). We're right in the middle in those regards. We like to hang out, play, do damage where it's needed, have some companies, be self sufficient, and above all else have fun. Most of our guys and girls stay up late on Skype and/or IRC, chat about RL and the game and whatever we've been up to, our families, our schoolwork, and for the most part act like normal human beings.

I'd like to see the eUK get back to that. At one point, even during the heaviest fueds we had with the PCP (back between Beta and V1) and TUP (V1-V2) when we were almost always competing as the largest or second largest parties, we all hung out in the community. We belonged to the same military units and armies, we all did damage where it belonged, and we all had fun in the forums.

We weren't this divided mess. We weren't drama queens that pretended to be martyrs for the sake of being martyrs. We weren't outcasts on the international scene, and for the most part led every single alliance we were ever in, even as the smaller nation invited.

If you want to develop that type of bond, please, by all means jump on board. We want to have fun. Join us and lets all have some fun.

Or you can join some other party and become the robot they want you to be.

Your choice.

Sincerely Yours,
Just Another Guy
