[UKGov]Wars Flare Around the World

Day 1,190, 08:23 Published in United Kingdom North Macedonia by Foreign Office

This is the first of my regular articles for a while, a lot has been happening recently which I will cover in depth in the wars section, but first there will be a quick section a questionnaire I'd like UK citizens to fill in so we can gauge your opinion on alliances and international relations.

Foreign Affairs Questionnaire
Please could eUK citizens fill in this questionnaire on Foreign Affairs. If you need to be refreshed on the basics of the alliances here is an overview:

PANAM
PANAM are an alliance originally founded to not be driven by the traditional RL based conflicts in Eastern Europe. Currently it cooperates closely with EDEN despite at least half of their members being ex Pheonix members, and there are rumours that the two alliances could merge at some point, although there are issues with Turkey and Greece that would need to be resolved before that would happen. They are also planning to change their name to something less Americas centric.
Current members: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, France, Japan, Russia, Turkey and the USA.
Possible future members: EDEN, Indonesia (Currently in BIA with Brazil and Argentina, strained relations with the USA are keeping them from PANAM at the moment though.)

NWO
NWO is an alliance created by four of eRepublik's biggest powers and aims to put the traditional conflicts in erepublik behind them and embark on new and exciting campaigns with their members. The alliance's members at the moment are solely based in Europe, at odds with PANAM's less Eurocentric ideals.
Current members: Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Spain
Officially invited countries: Italy (Spain), Macedonia (Hungary), Sweden (Poland), Slovenia (Serbia)
Possible future members: Indonesia, Iran, Peru

EDEN
EDEN is the oldest of the three currently active alliances, having been around since 2009 with it's real aim to beat PEACE/Phoenix, which obviously is no longer possible as Phoenix has effectively disbanded. Most think that the alliance is on it's last legs and it is rumoured to be looking into integration with PANAM.
Current members: Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina,Bulgaria,Canada,China, Croatia,Finland,Greece,Italy,Norway,Romania and Sweden

Resistance Flares Across Polish Occupied Territories

Sunday saw a slew of eight resistance wars against Polish territories across the globe, from France to China, initiated by PANAM not long after Poland declared Mexico as NE to disrupt their swap with the USA and capture more US regions without having to actually fight the PANAM giant directly. The PANAM forces hit key regions for the Poles, including their sole Rubber region of Poitou Charentes, given to them by France in exchange for peace after an invasion attempt in December of last year. The slew of resistance wars began with attempts in Arizona, a move that would disrupt Poland's war with Mexico, Zheijang, Poland's last base in Asia, Poitou Charentes, mentioned above, Western Netherlands, their sole oil region, Northwest of Mexico, another move to stall their advances through the North American minnow, Thuringia, a strategic region in central Germany and finally Deutschweiz, a Swiss region bordering France. These RWs were largely successful, with heavy hitting from PANAM resulting in close victories in all but Eastern Netherlands, which was secured by the NWO giant. This dealt a major blow to the Eastern European superpower and can be considered one of PANAM's biggest successes to date, however the wins in Mexico had little real effect, just slowing down their advance through the country. Further RWs have been started in the USA, in South Dakota and in Tennessee, however these have so far been unsuccessful.

South America is about to explode

Things are about to get very interesting in South America, with the already crowded region filled with opposing superpowers like Spain and Brazil seemingly about to be joined by Poland and Indonesia, which will undoubtedly cause some huge battles in the area over the next few weeks, as Indonesia's entry into the fray will mean there are four very strong countries in the region all vying for their and their allies control of the area, meaning things could get very heated indeed, although Indonesia could of course just be getting a base in South America to achieve a long term goal and stay out of any potential PANAM/NWO clashes. Indonesia began the swapping a few days ago, using a war with the Phillipines to get a border with Colombia, only possible after the new borders the admins implemented a month or so ago. Poland have been moving down through Mexico over the last couple of days since their NE from their base in Arizona, which has since been RW'd by the USA. So it seems likely there will be a clash of superpowers in PANAM's backyard in the next week or so, so we look to be in for a very exciting time with major clashes between the superalliances very much in the pipeline.

Croatia invade Slovenia

A war that has been going on for the past week has come to it's conclusion, with Croatia conquering all of Slovenia's original regions, with a little bit of help from Italy, something they have done in the past, although Slovenia are still on the map through their region in Upper Austria, and are currently attacking Southern Bohemia, which they will rent from Slovakia for about a week until they can get back on their feet. They are also trying to help Serbia hold on to their Slovenian original region, Upper Carniola, which they used to swap into Western Europe last month, so that they can then easily attack the Croatian held regions, and then give them back to Slovenia via resistance wars. It will be an uphill task to get back their regions from the EDEN power due to the new Resistance War rules, however Serbia should be able to help them out with that by conquering the Croatian held territories.

The Rest
- War flares in Ukraine as newly friendly Romania and Russia team up to divide up the country's resources whilst Hungary try to keep hold of their crucial Grain in Volhynia.
- Bulgaria are moving through Iran and into India, where they will look to grab resources which will stimulate their already growing economy and help improve their power on the world stage.
- New Zealand complete their moves in South America to get fruits and fish from Bolivia and Chile respectively.

That's it for today, expect the results of the questionnaire in a few days. For information about the rental deal with Serbia please see the Prime Minister's newspaper.
