[Proposal] Wolf Packs and Wargames
Sir Humphrey Appleby
Afternoon all o7
It’s generally become accepted practice in the monthly bad-trip of mongress to immediately dismiss and humbug ad infinitum any and all ideas from the ‘other side’.
Thus you can imagine my hurt and outrage when several said members not only failed to launch their attack, but actually came out in support of the latest half-arsed suggestion I had after doing absolutely nothing as MoD.
The premise was that to feed the eUK’s merited addiction to ever-more TWs as a neutral country between CODE and Asteria, where even they observe the peace locally, we need to finally confront the almost complete breakdown in national coordination since the armed forces proper disbanded after the disaster of 'V2 eRep'.
To secure as many stacks and medals as we can, we need to be in a reliable position to do it.
For those of you who missed the wallpost/free from the radioactivity of the threads:
Wolf Packs
As an opening I suggest folk post the times they’re usually online (mornings, afternoons or nights UK time).
I’d also suggest there be a group dedicated for newer players and two more specific groups for the UK’s heavier hitters (perhaps designated the SAS and SBS).
When we have an idea of our overall time coverage and enough people have signed up, the other Commanders/2nds and I will try and work out the initial groupings.
Once that’s done and everyone’s (hopefully) happy, they’ll be given complete autonomy, what they’re called, whether to let someone in etc.
There they can keep an eye on each others’ backs, can network beyond their own MU, and hopefully take part in some of the wargames that may be coming later.
I’d also suggest a collective armed forces thread for further coordination, medal run problems and potentially dangerously military-grade banter…
Wargames
I’m still waiting to hear back from MIK on the Gov’s approach to this side of the idea, but this is roughly how I’d suggest it:
Two teams of roughly equal damage between the packs and the date and time are agreed before the wargame.
The UK finds a TW partner prepared to give us 3 rounds to host it in, in exchange for their having free runs in the preceding/next 3.
Each playing team member can only use up to 50 energy bars across all 3 rounds. The teams must tell the coordinating gov member how many they’ve decided to use each round.
The team with the most won rounds wins the wargame.
Damage is assessed and teams are reshuffled for the next event.
Do let me know what you think, and hope you have a great weekend
🙂

This is new, not sure how this will actually run?

Great idea!
If you are keen on any time slot I suggest saying so in the comments here 😀
16:00 to 20:00 eTime, But am in
Circa 5pm GMT?
GMT - I normally fight 9am, 2pm, 6pm and 10pm would be best times for me
I dont understand the need for it tbh. In this warless age for the euk its going to go haywire as soon as some rogue elements get involved.
I'd argue autonomous UK fighter groups would massively lower that risk in the event of a rogue government
Yeah supportive of this as discussed before
Who wants to join me in the 7-9am commuters team
I’m shift based. So honestly I fluctuate
High points are probably between 4pm and 2am
team graveyard shift?
"...breakdown in national coordination..."
Without a propper TG channel for all fighting accs there won`t be any coordination nor battle management. And btw discord isn`t for old school, it`s for players who haven`t seen where the game and the coordination ingame have gone in the past 7-8 years.
Would it be fair to say we need a semi-active telegram channel to start off with?
7pm - 11pm GMT is best
