[PotUS] Final Thoughts

Day 3,119, 22:38 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar
Disclaimer some of these pics have nothing to do with anything, but they amuse me!

As I sit down to type up this article the clock is within minutes of ticking over to June 5th. Within two hours we will be able to vote for our next President. I will not tell you how to vote in this election. I will however, tell you that I will be voting for Yui. His work this month has in my view more than earned him the chance to lead the eUSA for the month of June. We have emerged with 19/20 a feat unmatched in the eWorld. NSC/State/Defense have been excellent in their work to accomplish this. Special thanks to Gnilraps, Melissa Rose, and Ubuntu for their help as well. Really so many have been actively involved and engaged in this process that there are not enough thanks to go all around.

I will be honest with everyone reading this article. This has not been my best month in eRepublik. Of the four terms I have had this one is the one I am least proud of in terms of my own efforts and time put in. I have said this early and often, but the best thing I did this month was select a team that rolled up their sleeves and went to work. Dinnyin my CoS stepped in from the beginning to direct traffic and was excellent. Even after a personal loss for Dinnyin hindered his managing of the Cabinet my Secretaries managed themselves. Articles were published, orders updated, shouts informing the citizens, and communication with TW/Allies went out seamlessy.

I cannot thank my Cabinet enough for the great work they put in this month. This was a crucial month in terms of setting the tone for the future. Not just in the Resource Wars, but within our own community. I have been pleased to see the number of people on the blacklist shrink. It has also been good to put to rest the feud with Iran and the now departing TDK. This month we have worked together in a cooperative manner I have not seen since the height of the ATO efforts against Ajay. The best part about it was seeing just how much fun everyone had while accomplishing so much together. It has truly been a joy to see.

When we are united there is no real stopping us. I watched the NSC reload time after time when bad luck and at times sabotaged derailed attempts to go after crucial resources. It is true some of the South American nations banded together to derail our acquisition of Neodymium. However, we have full bonuses in Food, Housing, and Weapons, along with 70% in the Airplane industry.

After each near miss Yui, Resoula, and Kalos never complained or blamed anyone they just vowed to do better with the next important drop. They led the many willing fighters of the eUSA to victory day after day, and night after night. We are in a very strong position for the changes that will be rolled out over the next several months.

I have alluded to a personal departure at the close of this term. I have a lot of RL drama going on that according to Louisiana Divorce law could take more than a year to sort out. There are other options I am exploring, however, for the near to medium term I will be bearing a heavy burden in my life. I say this not to evoke pity or sympathy, but to explain my imminent withdrawal (to some degree) from the politics of the eUSA. I will not be completely disappearing as I initially thought, (inb4MelissasaysItoldyouso) I will be sticking around to host eNPR for the next administration, working with Custer in Media assuming Yui wins, and likely doing things within my Party. Apparently eRepublik is a hard thing to leave completely behind.

I have won and lost a lot of elections in the eUSA. 7 times I have been on the ballot come CP election day. 6 times I have been elected Party President by my Party. 3 times I have been elected Speaker of the House. I say this not to brag, but to express my deepest gratitude to every player that has ever place their trust in me by casting a vote for me in this game. It has been a truly great adventure.

I say that not to imply that it is over. If circumstances are right I may run for one of those offices again. I would also like to thank the eUSA for making this a month to be proud of. As I said above we have accomplished much together in the last 30 days. I do not and will not claim credit for them, but it has been an honor and truly a privilege to be associated with the eUSA this and many other months. Until next time I bid you farewell as President and thank you for reading.
