Just like the Resource Wars, dry and getting hosed again. Just like you, I am glad the resource wars are over with. With three days left it basically is.. Don't get me wrong, resource war (ReWa) had its pros and cons. Damn, am I excited.


Cons

It was beyond long and extremely buggy. While I was farting around in Discord and frolicing within eRep, it was discovered that the stats at the end of some resource eUS was aiming for was at a quick loss. I was unable confirm with admins if eUS or any country was lucked out or got screwed over.


Instead of 35 days, ReWa should have a few days shaved off. Maybe make it 21 days tops.

Instead of fighting for rubber or cow or moose and squirrel 5 times in 35 days, why not a set of resources in a given day. I mean, sure everyone has a life and all but that would really bring the community together. Once a resource is taken, it's gone. No need to fight for a rare item again and again.

Pro

Speaking of community and togetherness, it really did indeed bring us all together. It was not like a political matter or anything but we were all setting our differences aside and fighting as a damn country for once.

Huh, weird, fighting as one. I like that. I communicated with people I really haven't talked to since the day I played the game. I also had the awesome opportunity to help out with Wilker Nath and write a few pieces for the WHPR and that was pretty dope. It was a rare opportunity and I personally felt like I was at my A-game and letting my Steven King writing flow through my fingertips and see where the hell I ended up on a notepad of knowledge.

Con

We learn from our mistakes and I have to say overall eUS did a pretty good job communicating with the community. I just feel like there was a bit lacking on the M.U side. I might seem biased since I am part of the U.S Pentagon MU, but i felt like the US. Pentagon did the most outstanding job getting its members active and engaged to go out there and be the best damn meat popsicle you are.


I didn't see other M.U personally advertise or reach out to the public and say “Hey, we are here, this is where we need to fight and this is why”. I get this was what, the 3rd ReWa and all but what the heck man. Again, im being bias on this sole part.

pro

The ReWa actually got me more engaged than other events. I dropped a lot of damage, got a hero medal out of it. I know hero medals are ‘easy’ if you have a Visa/ Mastercard to go nuckin’ futs on but I went ‘old school’ and earned my medal and rank and strength. I did my best to spread my coin to upgrade my factories and buy decent Q3 or Q7 guns and worked my way up like a regular grunt.

I have a good sense of pride that I actually did good and contributed to the ReWa event. It feels good man. I know, i hate the ReWa all together but i actually did something good for my country and did my best to check out #warplanning every now and again. As a citizen and Congressmen, I made sure to keep myself informed and go where I was needed on the battlefield.

I advanced a whole level to 64. Gained some good strength for my character. Overall, I came out a winner winner oatmeal dinner kind of pirate.

Overall

I think it's a good start where eRep is and where it can go with the ReWa event. It's the small things in life that gets what is left with the community together. I had fun here and there and at most times it felt like a drag trying to fight for a resource over and over again over long periods of time. It felt like getting a “participation medal”. I'm hungry for a good competition.

I'm happy the ReWa is over with. We can all finally take a breather and enjoy the good side of eRep; complaining about the mods and complaining about congress, likewise.
