(Opinion) eRepublik Labs need to improve and here's how

Join my Discord Server “Silverbeard’s poop deck”

The video game industry is a revolving door. It's a lot like when you walk into your favorite CVS pharmacy store and they have your favorite beverage called “super beer 2020” and you really love that beverage. You buy it and go home.

You return the next day to buy more because you used 1000 Q7 guns to hunt a battle hero medal and you lost badly. You feel angry and need a fix, so you get to the store and there is signage posted everywhere advertising “buy our new beverage super beer 2020 XL”. Ok, thats nice but you continue to walk into the regular asle to buy “super beer 2020” but it no longer there except the “Super beer 2020 XL”. So you buy that instead because you still need the fix.

You return for the 3rd and final day because someone called you a “poop face fart breath” in Discord and it made you feel bad so you walkz right into the store, yell “ I need...” and a store clerk replies with “ super beer 2020 V2?” its new and improved and now in stock”.

You scream, punch the candy corn display next to you and go back home.

Thats how the gaming industry is; always evolving and changing to appeal or target groups of people.

The gaming industry is a ongoing revolving door, with something bigger and better and faster....and more shiny always arriving at your doorstep.

Thing is, eRepublik Labs, eRepublik and browser based games have slightly lost their shine and need to find ways to adapt and survive. I am not saying change completely but makes small tweaks along the way that appeals to gamers such as me and you. Like themed events every 30 or so days and objectives said gamer needs to reach to get to the finish line and get a super beer prize thingy.

I won't name names or anything but there are a few games I play on my phone that have something new and improved and keeps me engaged. It gives a fair challenge and it gives me a great opportunity and gratification that I accomplished something.

Thats what eRep needs to do;
Miltary overkill

Change the military strength to match or raise the difficulty settings. Meaning as I get stronger and more powerful. It should bring me a good challenge each day for my MU daily goal.

It seems like where im sittng at now. 25 kills a day is smooth saling but as I get stronger, its going to be an overkill and my daily goals will or are becoming meaningless. I get free energy bars for no real hard earned fighting

Its also becoming too easy to get a Battle Hero medal these days (or too hard). My skills set should match my ability to fairly get a medal while 'working for it vs. Buying a military packet that lets me go from Division 3 to Division 1 and give the old middle fingers to just brand new players who have no ability to get what I can.

If eRepublik Labs want to survive a few more years this could be a HUGE game changer.

2)Bring back advertising

Sure, NSFW content magically popped up near the end of its life but I highly recommend we should bring it back. Having 10 gold limit is....boring and I wouldn't mind dumping my leftover gold from upgrading one of my companies for the day. I get annoyed when someone posts on their feed every 10 or so minutes about bragging getting yet another BH medal for the 10000th time. We get it. You overkill.

Parties, MU, government officials and private citizens in the game should be able to find all means to advertise to reach their targets.

Not everyone is tech savvy, or uses Discord or any means of outside communication and I don't blame them. I use them though.

Finish the damn game.

I remembered when I came back to eRep in early 2018 and discovered eRepublik Labs introduced, or at least made no attempt to in regards of local government like a Mayor or whatever.

Its been what? 2.5 years and nothing has been done? Local mayors, governers or whatever should be implemented where they can set local taxs on goods and services and said taxes could be used for whatever means.

But no, let's have another damn Resource War.

Have a good weekend and stuff.
