Tras mucho tiempo sin escribir y tras haber emuerto, hoy os deleito con la entrevista del que fue el hombre del momento: Releasethe Krakken.

Y aquí las respuestas en inglés y traducidas por mí al español. Suyas son las conclusiones, como diría Mona Pastor.

1. ¿Por qué te llamas Releasethe Krakken? | Why are you called Releasthe Krakken?

[ES] Porque soy el Kraken, el monstruo marino cuya labor es propagar el miedo propio del mar entre los mortales. Por la noche, éstos se reúnen alrededor de la hoguera y cuentan historias de cómo, tras adentrarse al mar al caer el alba, aparecen por la mañana barcas vacías hecha añicos de aquellos que osaron arrojarse al mar. Algunos creen que soy un pulpo grande, pero esa es sólo una forma de las tantas que adopto.

[EN] Because I am the Krakken a sea monster whose task is to instill the fear of the sea in mere mortals. At night they must huddle by the fire and tell fearsome tales of he that lurks in the sea and in the morning the empty boats of they that defied the fear must crash to pieces on the beaches. Some belief me to a big octopus but that is just one form I take.

[ES] No, yo no compro por impulso. Actualmente sólo compro el Power Pack y el Blitzkrieg Pack. La razón es simple. Tengo 489 empresas que requieren aproximadamente 4800 de energía para trabajar en ellas - con los packs gano 400 de energía por hora o 4000 en 10 horas.

[EN] No I dont buy on impulse. Currently I only buy power pack and blitzkrieg pack. The reason is simple. I have 489 factories and require about 4800 energy to work in them - hence the bp pack and power pack is because I then gain 400 energy per hour or about 4000 energy in 10 hours.


3. ¿Cómo aplicaría la teoría de la evolución de Darwin a eRepublik? | How would you apply Darwin's theory of evolution to eRepublik?

[ES] Yo diría que un jugador poderoso se ha de adaptar al juego, cambiando su economía de vez en cuando para seguir ganando la misma cantidad de dinero y para poder seguir jugando del mismo modo. Mi modo de jugar se basa en un 80% en el módulo económico.

[EN] I would say a power player must adapt his game and pivot his economy from time to time to keep on earning the same level of money and keep on playing the game in a certain way. My game is currently about 80% economics based.


4. ¿Alguna vez te ha insultado alguien directa o indirectamente, aquí en el juego? Es usted un jugador valeroso, según nos cuenta Eldiario.es. ¿Podría decirnos qué se siente, pues, al ser un culodemono del copón? | Has anyone ever directly or indirectly insulted you here in the game? [ES] Vale creo que me he perdido con la traducción. ¿Me podrías dar a lo mejor algunos enlaces de eldiario.es? Es que no entiendo el español. Y no, lo que recuerdo es que fui yo quien creó el término ''culo de mono'' para referirme a otro jugador. Bueno, lo que debes entender es que soy un jugador 'super de roleplay' y que puedo jugar ciertos roles sin parar durante meses. Mi anterior perfil, cuya traducción tiene que ver con el yakal, fue baneado en el occidente(?) y me cabreé tanto que atraje la atención del Community Manager. Yo no soy tan maleducado y arrogante como soy aquí en el juego.

Como controlador y maestro de todos los elementos el Kraken puede controlar todos los elementos y matar a todos los oponentes. Por ejemplo, puedo transformar la piedra en java y lanzártelo.

[EN] Ok think that was lost in translation could you perhaps provide links there is several eldario sites and I dont understand spanish. No as far as I remember I created the term culo de mono to refer to another player. Well what you must understand is that I am a super role player and that I intensely can play a role for months on end. My previous character which can be loosely translated to the jackal name was banned on the west so pissed of I got the community manager there. Im not nearly as outspoken and sometimes as arrogant as I am in game. As controller and master of all elements the Krakken can control an element to kill any opponent for example i can turn stone into java and let it roll onto you.

5. Hay veces que la vida da vueltas. It stamps you against the door of the zoo believing, as a good andalú, that you are looking for the Puerta del Sol. What do you think the ins and outs of eRepublik are?

[ES] Erepublik es una oportunidad para jugar teniendo un roleplay y para ser social con gente con la que compartes intereses. Aquí encontrarás a gente con la que vas a tener más afinidad comparados con aquellos en la vida real. No puedo debatir sobre programación con gente normal en la vida real pero aquí hay muchos que saben de ese campo. También te da la oportunidad de ser una persona más importante aquí de lo que serías en la vida real (o que no querrían serlo allí). Además, aquí se entremezclan más culturas, y nosólo la nuestra propia.

[EN] Erepublik is a chance to role play and be social with people that are closer in shared interest than you would find in real life. I cannot discuss programming say with normal people but here there is a lot of people that is in the field. But it provides players the opportunity to in elife be more important that they could be in rl( or necessary would want to be.) Also there is a cross pollination of cultures and we can sample more cultures than our own.


6. ¿Qué le llevó a jugar a eRepublik? | What prompted you to play eRepublik?


[ES] Solía jugar al principio, pero lo dejé. Me llamó la atención y blablabla. Mi carácter en el oeste también fue de picadora de carne. Tenía en mi ban la mayor colección de shinies. Un brillo es un tipo de arma especial como el hacha de Boone que gané en un cofre. Tuve también el cinturón de Innogames que In consiguió de comprar todos sus cofres de vacaciones. Ese cinturón le dio +10 en cada atributo cada atributo que tiene 5 habilidades asociadas con él. (esta traducción se la he dado a google translator; me daba to la pereza)

[EN] I used to play in the start but stopped. It peaked my interest then and as I later thought about it perhaps if one grinded at the game one could achieve greater success. [ES] Lol Como he dicho ese es otro jugador, el culo de mono. Lo que pasa es que no puedo recordar quién es. Si uno juega a un juego pasa por distintas etapas: el aburrimiento y la cuenta inútil al principio, y luego esa cuenta crece y tiene más habilidad y dinero que otras y ya te sientes más involucrado. Así que, dándole tiempo, siempre caes de pie. Por ejemplo, si te fijas en mi fuerza, pues he estado 3 o 4 años en este juego y ahora tengo 108000 de fuerza.

[EN] Lol as I said I think another player is the monkeys ass. I just cant remember which one. if one grinds at a game one go through different spots. there is the boredom and the basically useless account at the start(in the west as well) later your character grows and have more skills/money than other accounts and you can play a more involved game. So in a way over time you land on your feet. for example if you check out my strength I was about 3 or 4 years into the game with a paltry 20000 strength each day since I have max trained and is now at a decent 108000 strength.

[ES] Nosotros (sudafricanos del interior) vivimos en áreas frondosas de maíz, girasol y nuez. Por lo tanto, nuestro alimento más básico es la harina de maíz, que cocinamos con aceite de girasol o aceite de canola, oliva (aunque no lo producimos) o coco. Por lo tanto, no lo usamos realmente. [EN] We(inland south africans) life in heavy maize, sunflower and ground nut areas. Therefore our staple food is maize flour and we cook mainly with sunflower oil secondly canola oil and thirdly with olive oil(although we dont produce the later 2) Coconut oil therefore we dont really use. You would struggle to find coconut oil in our shops. Although Im not culo de mono I dont suffer this coconut oil you speak of. So to answer I dont have enough experience of this to comment. If you want to know maize flour is used to make 3 kinds of pap(porridge) a fluid type we call this slap pap a normal one not to much fluid not to much flour - usually we call this one putu pap. and lastly one where one uses very little water it has a rough texture we call this one growwe pap. it is a staple food so we usually eat it with milk and sugar in the morning and at night also. but just before you start crying south africa is a first world country and we offer professionals etc of the best caliber and have a massive yearly income. being a mineral rich country.
