[CD4CP] Internal Manifesto

Day 2,266, 15:37 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Count Drakula

Good morning/afternoon/evening/night everyone,

Today I’ll be talking about the domestic side of the eUK aka the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and congress. Although I stressed that foreign affairs is more important this month, domestic affairs must not be forgotten. We have to make sure our players grow up to be big and strong (while in lower divisions).

Got to look after the newer guys

Before I start talking about congress and inevitable get moaned at for proposing changes, none of this will be enforced. I am not going to go to congress and pretend I have a bunch of power over them that I should not have; that is not the right way to do things. My opinion is that, congress members should run for congress because they want to help the eUK, not for the medal or the status of doing so. Don’t take me wrong, I think there are lot of good congress members currently that help; but there are some that could do more.

I think that backbenchers/congress members who generally do not speak up in PMs should have the ability to do work in a more, introvert-friendly environment, such as talking to them in a smaller environment to ensure that they are happy with everything that is going on in the 2 group PMs or helping out more so in ministries than directly in congress affairs.

Talking with congress members

I honestly think that the MoHA has been a pretty useless ministry this last month, recycling articles does not count as work. However, the MoEd has been very successful over the last month, with various relevant guides. I would like to point out some ideas that were brought up by Carlini in this article. He suggests a few ideas of which two have potential I think, a FAQ article and PMQs.

I believe that allowing new players a place whereby they can ask whatever kind of question that they want to is a good step, having somewhere to link with previous questions asked as well as allowing new citizens the ability to add their own questions will help newer players with the game. Similarly, PMQs would allow the general public a platform to talk to not just CP but ministers as well about relevant whatever topics they wanted. This could be done on IRC or (more likely) questions PM’d in, responded to and released in an article.

What I did the past month as MoF

There’s not a lot more I want out of the Ministry of Finance, there has been largely positive feedback from the weekly reports and loans will be continued as usual.Something that might be nice to work on would be looking at data from other countries and including this in weekly reports although this would require additional manpower to do properly.

For those of you wondering how to become a minister:

Step 1: Send me a PM with information about yourself (a brief bit on you, what ministry you want to apply for, what experience you have, activity levels IRC/ingame and any other information I should know)
Step 2: Wait for a reply, I’ll try and reply to most if not all of them, I may want to ask you another couple of questions or want to arrange a meeting on IRC.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Become a minister.

The current positions I am looking for are:
2 x Minister of Defense
1 x Minister of Home Affairs
1 x Minister of Education
1 x Minister of Finance

In the next article I will reveal my cabinet,

With Love,
