[BG] The Orthodox Brotherhood

Day 1,546, 03:23 Published in Bulgaria China by mihail.cazacu

The Orthodox Brotherhood (an alliance of all the Christian Orthodox countries) is periodically revived in this game.

Up until now it has failed, but recent events show the time might be right for a more long-lasting solution.

More precisely, look at how Croatia, Ukraine and Romania work together to ensure Hungary stays a permanent member of EDEN. (And hey, in case of Hungary it seems there's a consensus they should be a permanent member of the alliance, just like Spain has been accepted into Terra indefinitely).

The same solution should be used to keep Serbia and FYROM firmly in the Orthodox Brotherhood camp. Why would Serbia and FYROM need Congresses anyway? Or why would they be on the eWorld map as independent countries when we all agree they will be much happier in the loving arms of their Orthodox brothers - the Bulgarians, Greeks and Romanians?

Serbia made the first step by sending a delegation to Romania. The Serbian diplomats insisted Belgrade can host the whole Romanian army free of charge once the Romanians have finished their traditional monthly tour to Budapest. They added they would have also welcomed the Bulgarian army (who already knows how to get there) but unfortunately the Bulgarian visit has to wait till the Non-Aggression Pact expires.

However the Serbian diplomats guaranteed that they'll stick to their tradition ("Nobody abandons their allies like the Serbs do") and won't lift a finger when the Bulgarians visit FYROM.

(For those who ask why the Serbian diplomats traveled to Romania riding on Q6 tanks, the answer is simple: just like in Real Life, Serbs love gunpoint diplomacy. Since it served them well in Real Life, they use the same methods also in-game).

As for FYROM, it seems they're utterly confused. Instead of preparing for the imminent reunification with Bulgaria, they still entertain delusional dreams about a Macedonian Empire.

Well guys, a Macedonian Empire did exist. But Greek was its official language.

So if you want to be part of an empire, try the Bulgarian Empire. You won't need to learn a foreign language in that case.
