Work Tax Lowering (Vote Passed)

Hello readers. It's been a long time since I wrote an article. A really long time. Like Day 1875 long ago. And this article will be short since I'm writing from a tablet while on vacation. Anyway, back to the reason I'm writing this article: the newly elected congress is lowering the Work Tax. With the vote passed 34-4, we now have a 5% work tax.
With the current average salary at $17.25, WAMng should soon only cost about $0.86 per building, as opposed to the current cost of about $4.31. The current cost for WAMing caused me to only work in my Q5 food factory and Q2 weapons factory because all the other buildings weren't worth the cost. With the new low cost, I'll be able to work in all my RM factories as well and most other players should be able to work everywhere as well.

5% tax rate is an outrage after enduring 17+ days at 25% and when 13 of the top 19 countries are at 1 or 2%. I would really like to see an explanation for what justifies 5% on the first time it is under control. Maybe after some public debate, but to start us off at 5% is just disappointing.
I heard rumors that we might have 10% so only having 5% is pretty good. If you want to hear reasons you can ask your party Congressment and they'd probably tell you.
The point is that the 25% collected enough money for 3 to 5 months worth at a 5% rate. As a relief from that, the first time with control back should have been to 1 or 2%. That would have allowed time to let the government make it's case for any amount. The course of action taken shows an insensitivity to anyone outside the government's machinery.
When you put it like that, you make a lot of sense. We have over 8000 gold and 2000000 USD in the treasury. How much more do we need?

AFA wants to make a 1% tax. if you want small taxes and you money not to go to the elites VOTE FOR AFA!

And so they can let in more Serbians to help them take over, actually raise the tax, so we are crippled and can't fight back, and so they can screw us over as much as possible.

but why didn't you have a congress? was it not due to the incompetence of your leaders? why does spain have a congress? why does romania have a congress... why do you find a congress even in the smallest and insegnificant countries in erepublik? BECAUSE THEY HAVE A GOOD AND SMART LEADERSHIP UNLIKE THE USA!
Or we didn't have a congress because we were being attacked by 3 countries at once. It's because of smart leadership and planning that we have almost taken back the eUSA now. Also if you want to continue this discussion please just pm me. We are flooding the comment section to much.
5% give us a comparative advantage when it comes to CO which means more damage on the battlefield for the eUS. Also we are moving to 5% to measure the effect of the move, which can help us decide on what the permanent rate should be.
Yes it gives us the great advantage of wasting our citizen's money on nothing else but fattening the pokets of a lucky few. you had 25% tax till now. some citizens worked even with this tax. did it help us out in any way? are we better of? no we aren't. You should not steal a citizen's hard earned money!
It helped us to kick out Hungary, and if you have a problem with taxes take it up with the admins, they are the ones that put them in the game.

No, those 4 are from your own congressmen who want as much cc taken from the hard working man as posibile. you will see the AFA proposal soon that wants to change the work tax to 1%. I dare you to vote against it to see what the people will vote for in next elections.
The country can't run off 1%. They still need money. Stop spouting things blindly thinking you know what you are talking about.

Every single citizen would on average have to WAM 25 times for us to make the same income at 25%. I WAM 8 times and I am a year old in the game. Not going to be income at 1%.
