HELLO EZC! I have been teasing for a little while now that I was going to run a contest for you fine folks. Today is the day! I am finally getting off my lazy ass and outlining the contest, its rules, and prizes available for your participation.

This will be a multi phase contest and the first phase will run for a week, through eRep day 4428 (to give you a little extra time.) After the first phase, we will move into a voting round, depending on the number of entries and rounds we have to go to get to the final winner.

Enough of the blah blahs.. I am happy to kick off the Pick WhydoIbother’s Newest Avatar. I will wear the winning avatar for 60 days. There are rules though. These are the rules for the avatar:

1. It MUST follow eRepublik rules so no profanity, racism, homophobia, sexism, stupid garbage or nudity allowed.I have the right to reject any entries and will do so publicly so that the entry can be changed to something that follows the rules.

2. No using the avatar of an existing known eRep player, MU, or Org. Be creative in your submission.

3. You must be a member of EZC when the contest starts and all the end of me wearing the winning avatar. If you win and leave EZC before the 60 days are over, I go back to my original avatar and you will be blacklisted from entering any of my contests in the future.

4. Only 1 entry per person. If you submit multiple entries, your first entry will be used. If you decide to change your entry, delete the artcile link in the comments and send me a PM letting me know you changed your entry. Note that you cannot change entries after day 4428.


How do I submit my entry you ask? Simple, publish the entry in YOUR newspaper. If you don’t have a newspaper, create one. It’s only 2 Gold. Make sure you put EZC in the title of your paper as well to make it easy to find in the article list. Once you have your article done, come back here and post a link to it in the comments. After the entry phase is over at the end of day 4428, I will get all of the entries together and create a Google Doc for voting. Voting will depend on how many entries we get.

Every EZC member that enters will be rewarded with 2k cc. The winning avatar will get 50k cc, 2nd place gets 25k cc, 3rd place gets 10k cc, 4th place gets 5k cc and 5 and 6th place will each get 2k cc. If we get over 20 entries, I will increase the prize pool for entries and 1-6th places. Tell your fellow EZC members to enter because the more that do, the better the payouts.
