Why I Am an eCommunist
A Vegan
There is a lot of talk about game mechanics when no real reasons can be given.
Fact is that the real game doesn't mean much. Actually because of game mechanics almost no law proposal makes a difference.
If we would need to find fun in the actual game that is called eRepublik we wouldn't last long.
Nobody would last longer than a week, cause lets be honest the actual game is boring like hell.
What makes eRepublik fun is the community behind it, the forums (other sites) and the people.
None of this fits in the game mechanics. Most of what happens on the eBelgium forums do not fall under game mechanics.
But does this mean we should close the eBelgium forum? Should we delete our constitution? Stop debating about all kind of stuff?
Clearly NOT. Actually that's what makes eRepublik fun.
Having 5 political parties who say more or less the same isn't fun.
I really can not see any difference between by example Res Belgica and BfB.
While one is center-left and the other center their approach has nothing to do with party values but all with individuals.
Why call Res Belgica center-left when it does not follow any ideology? Why have different parties when none of them have real differences?
That is why I call for more ideological parties. I would love to see parties with a more specific political agenda.
Diversity means more fun! And more ideological parties can create this much needed diversity!

And yes I am running for congress again.
Vote BCP!
Fear us!
Long Life eBelgium !! Long Life BCP !! Long Life eCommunism!!
(I told this already several times before : ) )
-Critically
ps. Good luck in the elections !!
Diversity is the catalyst of creativite thought
and diversity in politics, while creating conflict, prevents tyranny and provides a forum for change
and change is necessary for growth and progression, much like conflict
apply this to eRepublik and you get a grand ole time 😃
Hoorah for biologic diversity.
Well and political diversity too, of course. : D
Voted!
Diversity is great, but when you have barely 20 active people, if that many and 5 ideologies, you are not going to get much done, including things like the training wall that so many have been calling for over many weeks. I am, and have always been, sympathetic with eCommunism, but at this stage, in this place, ideology is not practical.
Actually we are already asking for a training war for the last 3 months. Don't think this has anything to do with ideology but with work done by the government. Everyone wants a training war.
And if we only have so many active people why don't we all move to the same party? It doesn't make sense to have 5 parties that all stand for the same even if we only have a few active citizens.
Diversity isn't going to stop our development. As you said ideology doesn't fit in game mechanics so it won't make us get done less.
In the other hand it will make eBelgium less boring. And isn't that something we all want?
Certainly we want eBelgium to be less boring, but I think the record of the past month or two speaks for itself. Yes, people have been asking for a TW much of that time, but what has really done about anything? Most of that time on the forum was spent by people putting up proposals and shooting them down, mostly on the basis of ideology (or lack thereof).
You can't call two individuals who are fighting a trend or connect it with an ideology.
What has been done? That pretty soon we will get a TW. That's what has been done. And that has nothing to do with ideology but everything with a hard working CP.
Ideology is background. That's all. But without background nothing looks fun.
Ordinarily, you are right, I wouldn't call two individuals fighting a trend, but when it is the only thing that is happening, it looks depressingly like a trend to me.
Theneka has indeed worked hard to get a training war, and I agree that has nothing to do with ideology, but that actually reinforces my point that ideology has not helped us to make progress.
I agree that ideology can make things fun, but not if arguing about it impedes the business of our country which is to make it a better place for our citizens, where they CAN have fun.
Look over your shoulder... we are there... watching...
grrrr
eCommunism Rules!
>_>... no vote for the dictators
Nice add, but vote UBIP => FreddeLeGrand
