Who Should Run For President?

This is a fantastic opportunity to write, and I thank the wheel for this piece. During the election I talked to several people expressing my own personal view that Wild Owl and I shouldn’t be running for President. I had desired to see other people step up and run because I don’t believe people who have had more than two terms should be gunning for the position anymore. So here’s where some of you will get my approval and praise as contenders for the Presidency in the near future. I’ll just run down the list to make this quick and accessible. This list is not in any particular order, so do not consider these to be rankings. Here are four people that should/could run, and I’ll even include a bonus at the end.

Ilene Dover
I believe Ilene is the only person from SFP who has the potential to gain traction in the other parties, and thus a chance to win the Presidency. I also think she has had the most cabinet exposure and experience necessary to win, ranging from her time in DoCA to her current stint as a MoFA. I also believe she has the necessary character to win, since her public and private demeanor do not change and she is generally approachable and enjoyable to talk to. I would very much enjoy to see a run from her even if I cannot say I agree with her on every issue. I think Wild Owl also recognized this and was part of the reason he made her MoFA.

Fingerguns
She has done the Presidency before if you go to the way-back machine, but I think she’s got a shot coming up soon to do it again. Her wheel is immensely popular, her social presence is dominate, and her experience and exposure is vast. If she were to run for the Presidency I argue that other contenders would have a hard time gaining momentum against her. Recently the Feds have been fairly divided in their primaries, and I think fingerguns is the only one who could turn that back into a monolithic bloc. Her ideas are undoubtedly being put into place this term and I expect they will have a lasting impact.

Senryaku
I’ve never had much conversation with Senryaku, but from what I can see he has ideas and is not afraid to post them when asked. I like his blunt nature which might not appeal to voters but I believe he would be a capable president and would hold a cabinet accountable. I do think that Senryaku’s past might hold him back from having a successful run, but he is someone I’d like to see as President in the future. I see Senryaku as an unorthodox candidate, and I don’t know what the response to that would necessarily be.

Kody5
I think Kody5 might be one of the last people in the game that actually wants to be President someday. He always works hard when he gets a position and his work ethic is admirable, as is his desire to be supportive. We’ll see how he does as Media Secretary, but he’s been in cabinets before and he has successfully run the Feds so far. I think Kody5 deserves a shot at the Presidency because he’s probably one of the few people that would enjoy doing it.

Literally anyone from the Black Sheep Party
I don’t even know what these guys are doing anymore. It appears after Resoula quit the game that they also just faded into the background. I’m sure you guys have something or someone to present, but I just can’t see that now. You got Resoula into the seat, you had people like eShades who were potential presidents, and at the very least I’d like to see you guys put forward a protest candidate. Do something. If Trump can win, you guys have a shot.
