Join the new world

Greetings once again, CvP members!

In my last article, I announced that, if elected as Party President on the 15th, I would restructure the party leadership, and to help you better understand, I'm writing this article to describe my plans in better detail.

First off, I'd like to announce the party member I've asked to run as my Party Vice-President: Angelini. Angelini has been an active member of the party since shortly after joining the party. She's served in a number of Council positions previously, including Recruiter and Whip, and I'm confident in her ability to help me keep the rest of the Council and members in line. Part of the reason I'm sure she can help me keep the peace is her military training. As a proud member of the eUS military, Angelini currently serves as head of the eUS Training Division, helping prepare the citizens that will eventually make up the bulk of our armed forces. If she can make those unruly citizens into a coherent fighting force, she can apply her skills to our party with similar effectiveness!

I know that Angelini is a hard worker, and that her skills would benefit the party if we are elected. But just as importantly, I want to rearrange the party council in order to increase the effectiveness of the CvP.

In addition to the PP and PVP, I intend to appoint a cadre of officers to head up various functions of use to the party. First, we will have a dedicated chief recruiter, who will head up a team of recruiters who will seek out new citizens of the eUSA and inform them about our party and what we stand for. Second, to ensure that new members of the party get involved and stay active, I will bring back the position of Party Greeter, who will work hand-in-hand with the recruiters to contact new members and interest them in the party and all the things we do, inside and outside the party.

I will retain the position of Head of Security, a mostly lulz position, though Security does control a few IRC channels used for official party business. In addition to these positions, I intend to keep the treasurer and party whip positions, working with the new appointees to properly define their functions and assist them in carrying out their duties.

In addition to all these positions, I intend to see to the creation of a true CvP Campaign Advisor to assist in the organization of our Congressional campaigns by providing assistance and advice to our candidates, and to help with whomever our party nominates for CP, as well. A new Party Ambassador will be appointed to contact and keep in touch with other parties to assist in advancing the goals of the nation as a whole. The new position of Media Guru will be created to help create, maintain, and use the party roster I mentioned previously. This Guru will help the whip contact members, publish articles on behalf of the party, and generally assist in the media-related aspects of eRepublik.

I hope to introduce a number of joint programs into the party, in order to have several council members work together to accomplish a single goal, in order to increase the teamwork within our party. My first, and perhaps most ambitious goal, is to institute some form of educational program into the party to teach citizens who understand the basics of the game some of the more detailed aspects of play, such as military strategy, business ownership, etc. This would allow our members to bring their questions to us so that we can find knowledgeable individuals to help spread their wisdom.

Beyond these council positions, I would like to see small teams, preferably of volunteers, working under most of these council posts in order to spread out the workload, increase the number of active members, etc.

All in all, I am always open to more suggestions and comments on my plan for the council, so please...fire away!
