We're eAustralia!
Nicky6Fingers
As some of you may be aware in our CP has posted farewell address in the paper, I highly recommend reading it and the article link can be found at the bottom of this article. However I wish to direct readers to the last paragraph
“The State Of Things
I'm hopeful that some of what I started this month will kickstart Australia once it begins to take affect. In my humble opinion our community is at the tipping point, we cannot continue ad infinitum. Either people will wake up and pull together or it's done. If all you are interested in is making stuff to sell and maybe fighting it doesn't matter who's in charge. If such things do matter to you step up, you may have to be the next President of Australia.”
jeez real great inspiration there at the end? Really builds up the momentum for the next month. I. AM. PUMPED. But no I feel like this is ending the term off with a sour tone.
The fact is it’s never, ever! Been a winning bet to bet against eAussies. Not only do we have some of the strongest players in our home and friends, we have BEST friends around. We have the most committed players in the eWorld. And given a fair chance eAussies have NEVER EVER EVER EVER let their country down NEVER ...NEVER...eAussies like us can do unbelievable things together.
WE DO NOT SCARE EASILY
WE NEVER BOW
WE NEVER BEND
WE NEVER BREAK
WE ENDURE
WE OVERCOME
WE MOVE FORWARD
I am more oppourtunistic about eAustralia than i was as a young kid my first time in the senate! The next 1000 days will be the the eAustralian Century! Because we not only lead by the example of our power but by the power of our example.
WE ARE eAUSTRALIANS 2ND TO NONE!
AND WE OWN THE FINISH LINE!
AND DONT YOU FORGET IT...
WE'RE eAUSTRALIA!
Forever Yours,
Nicky6Fingers

I hesitate before I say anything as someone in charge of something. Your sarcasm is duely noted. Ending my term by posting that paragraph is not my preference. Acting as CP I am supposed to run stuff, but I'm also obligated to put the best face on any situation, to promote Australia, be a cheerleader.
Unfortunately, I post that as a warning. Since I'm no longer CP allow me to respond as Joe Average. I'm not wanting to run again anytime soon. I won't speak for others but will mention that notable people have quit the game, left Australia or are at best 2 clicking. These are people who were running things when I showed up here just a few months ago.
I will help BDR all I can but he will need active people to help run the country now and in the future. I call you out Nicky! Be part of the cabinet as a deputy this term. Learn how the exec ministries work, be in line for the CP. Any of the rest of you that agree with what Nicky has said here I'm looking at you also. Please heed what I say.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
~Edmund Burke
Please don't take offense at my endorsement, dill. The problem I think to address activity is as a country we need to draw back to what will attract people to wanting to be a part of this game. In order to attract and retain people the actual physical function of erep (clicking and the like) is somewhat half of what the focus needs to be on. Given the advent of apps and social media which make the personal interactions as much fun as the game itself, to address this there needs to be a lot more going on outside just the two-three clicking than within it. I've visited IRC and they forums which appear to be dead - and I think any new player coming across this game would very quickly lose interest these days, in favour of they instant gratification other apps now offer. This does not mean it can't be overcome, it just means more has to be done to create a sense of community and activity. I do think that will be a major challenge for any new CP, not just in eAus, but across the board in erep.
No offense taken. I maybe am being to much beating around the bush, I agree with Nicky. I want to be upbeat and promote Australia. Social interaction is important but it's getting old timers to use a forum or Irc that's the problem.
Still we must have govt to poke buttons and interact with other countries. I'm dead serious when I say there are maybe 4 of us that can do that atm. I'm burnt out. Cannot speak for Rusty. BDR is all in this term and I'm not sure if Don is ready for a term yet. I'd trust Elite C but don't know if he's interested.
In my opinion that's our option for leadership. We can't just keep rotating people around. We need new players sure, but if some seasoned players don't step up and learn the ropes it won't bode well for Australia's future.
Mm. Most seasoned players know the amount of effort needed to do the job. I've been lucky in the two times I've run as I have had an active crew behind me. At the moment I get a sense the majority of it seems to fall on the CP themselves or a small knit group, which is not sustainable. But either way in the long run a small group of seasoned peeps will more likely burn out than new people. If a CP almost ignored world politics and did a platform based on activity you might lose in the shorter term but the longer term and sustainable game might have a greater chance.
Most of the older players have moved on and achieved the political module highs they wanted. In my case I just don't think I have the time, level of OCD and space to run a term again. A teenage daughter and two boys who are on the cusp of being teenagers takes too much time now. And I remember how exhausting it was to always be pushing, even with a community platform. A new generation is really the way to go.
dont take my article as offense dill i just figured a good inspirational article would be nice 😛
