Join the new world

Hello everybody!
My name is Aliquam, and this is my new series of articles.
It´s called "We are the Presidents" and to explain it simply it´s a series of
articles where I'm going to interview some of eRepubliks country presidents
and also some former country presidents.



I´m really dedicated to this project, and I think it could be so awesome
to know what our country presidents does/did, how they are and also some fun facts
about them.
This is also my first project on English, so I hope you will enjoy it!

Which country are/have you been CP for?
Canada, always.

When did you start to play erepublik? Why?
I started in July of 2009 in response to a marketing ad in facebook. I stayed because of the economic and political modules, I found it quite exciting to "build" an economic empire and "build" political parties and policy.

What did you feel when you was voted as CP of your country?
It felt reassuring, knowing that there was a large demographic out there who support your ideas and leadership.

How it´s like to be a CP?
Being CP totally expands the game. The leadership in other countries want to know what you are doing, they NEED to know. When are you attacking next and where? Will you sign an MPP with us? Will you support our battle here by making our battle your campaign of the day? All of these little things become relevant because you are influencing where the citizens attack and when. It is intimidating too because there is no right or wrong answers, just your stratgies.

What is the funniest beeing a CP?
All of the pms you get from citizen strategists and policy makers and what-not. Some people have great ideas, others are totally out to lunch and don't understand game mechanics. Some people want me to attack countries we aren't at war with or don't even have a border with. I get citizenship requests all the time and I can't approve them.

As CP you haft to do alot of decisions. What is your tuffest decision you have done as CP?
The toughest decision was to NE Poland. Poland is much bigger than us but they were really beating up US at the time. US is our brother and we had to help them to be a good ally. I asked our congress for support to help US even though it meant we would be wiped. They agreed, we attacked Poland, and we surprised everyone by kicking their ass for twelve straight battles until they ran away and ended the war.


Poland gets kicked out of USA.

What do you think about eSweden?
Sweden is a tough country. They kicked our ass about six months ago, but that was when ONE was much stronger. I remember a long time ago when Canada was wiped, Sweden donated a Q5 hospital to Canada when we started to recover. This was very generous at the time, and we named the hospital "Our Lady of Sweden". I always had a positive image of Sweden from then on, until they attacked us.

What do you think about Sweden IRL?
Great hockey team, they just won the World Juniors. Great food and attractive women, I'm a fan of Sweden in RL.



If you haft to choose one favourite colour, whick one should you choose?
Red, its a bold colour. It can be dangerous, it can be warm and safe, it can be sexy, it can be helpful, it always stands out.

It´s friday evening, what do you eat?
Always something simple on Fridays at my house (wife and three kids). Pizza and salad, spaghetti and salad, or bar-b-q (sausage or burgers or pork chops) and salad.
