Voices From the Past

Day 3,729, 16:36 Published in USA USA by Dariuswolff

Franklin D. Roosevelt has joined us today, thanks to the help of our most talented spirit medium Madam Lucille.

Mr. President, do you have any words on encouragement in this time of grave danger to our enation?

FDR: Grave danger you say? What, this little thing you call a war? You have no idea what war is about until you have an argument with Eleanore. Now that's war.

This little squabble is not to be feared as a grave danger, The war itself is just a symptom of a more dangerous condition. Your fears would be better justified if they were a consequence of our recognition of the very deep divisions within our great country. Start to heal those divisions and you will take your first real steps to winning this little squabble.

You must also reach out to your allies, and even make more allies along the way. A joint and united front against the enemy is the real way past these difficulties.

Wouldn't you agree Winston?

ME: Ah, the spirit hot line is working in our favor. Let's welcome Sir Winston Churchill, Prime Minister.

Winnie: Franklin, I chasten you and remind you to remember the lurch you left us in prior your entry into the war. But you are very right to think, every ally you can bring to your side represents added warriors willing to spill their blood and spend their resources on your behalf.

I am so sorry to end this article prematurely, but there is an air raid going on, and I really need to rush to the aid of my country. I hope you are doing the same.

Good luck and good night!
