Top 10 Reasons the eUS Forum Sucks:

Day 2,944, 14:12 Published in USA USA by Jimmy Cincinnati

Issue #111

You are probably wondering; "WTF is going on?." Well, I've got that covered.
I'll be brief and get back to work so Kemal doesn't whip me again:

I've found a few people to help us with the Revolutionary Committee and I've started work on fulfilling a couple of the campaign promises. (There are people that can cosign on that.)
I'm going to do my best to serve the party and not assume that I know what anyone wants. In order to accomplish this; I'll be sending a, brief, survey around.
In the meantime I give you the top 10 reasons that I think eUS forums suck:

#10. Merit Badges
You receive Karma and little medals that signify your compliance and dissidence.

#9. The Zombie Apocalypse
Unknown people have access to your ISP and other information about your computer.

#8. Where's the Integrity
People tried get my account information, Pfeiffer changes laws, people fight against the eUS and people try to install dictators. Yet, the forum excuses these. The forum's integrity is, clearly, compromised and if we had a new one the same thing will, likely, happen. Some people have no integrity and a different forum won't change that fact.

#7. The laws are grandfathered in
The forum rules were written before many of us were eBorn and there is, intense, resistance to change. Make a proposal and someone might try and blacklist you. Do somebody else's job and someone might try and blacklist you.

#6. The members are grandfathered in
Some people OWN their party they run the same congress members for years. Add this to the grandfather laws, witch keep the old guard in the congress discussion. Some of the old guard don't even play eRep they spend all day trolling the forum and crushing any form of decent.

#5. Risk to computers security
You get a security notification. Most porn sites won't do that. It tells me that someone was sending malware. Probably more than once. The eGov did nothing to protect us. Instead it got ignored or buried.

#4. Distraction

It keeps people out of the game. Some people don't have time for eRep, because they have to spend all day on eUS forum. Nobody can read all of that. If you don't see a DoD, a Speaker's corner or a WHPR, look at the forum. That's where everyone's time went.

#3. Blacklisting
It became apparent, early on, that some people want to blacklist anyone that doesn't follow their ideology. I guess they get instant gratification from the concept, but in reality; they create a bigger divide.

#2. The Cartel
I won't say it's name, because I don't want anyone to congratulate them. The cartel, currently, controls three parties. Looking at the eUS forum; it's easy to see who they are and how the cartel operates.

#1. It's, privately owned

Right now, nobody wants to accept accountability for that forum, but it's privately owned. Pig in Zen gets credit, but PIZ has been eDead for over a year.

I know this wasn't as funny as some of you hoped, but hold onto your chastity belts; someone will be here to insist that this isn't true. So, get some popcorn and enjoy the show.
