As the title says, Too much, Too soon.
Moving in against Indo was a mistake, it was too early. Spain is regaining is territories quite fast and we're losing resources just as fast. In hours we will be down to Basque County. Scratch that, in hours Basque County will be back in Spains control and we'll have been pushed out of Spain. I hope a made a deal in returning the regions to Spain, as we gave little resistance except for a few fights in a few erea's. It took a lot of hard work and money to wipe Spain with coordination with Croatia, and Brazil. I hope the President has plans and again struck a deal, a fast learning curve will be needed to figure out this mess otherwise
Here we have 2 choices, however choice 1 maybe too late:
Fight for Basque County and take Casta y Leon back for it's Iron and hold these 2 regions. However this looks like a gone and past choice, we're obviously withdrawing at this point. Again I hope a deal was stuck, otherwise we're being pushed out of Spain quickly, which means Croatia will be pushed out next unless they fight to hold the area or have made a deal as well. They are also being hit hard in their other territories and have moved in and taken much of Mexico. I don't know if the President made a pact to return the Regions of Spain. Appears not as I have not heard anything, however I've been gone a few days. Though there were still orders often listed in the DoD it makes me confused, nor have I read any Press Releases about Spain. However if he did strike a deal to just give back the regions, what did we gain? Taxes have been raised on just about everything. Mostly on Import tax because other countries are doing so much better then us at the moment, but also standard taxes have been raised as well not just Import Taxes. I hope as well if any deal was struck it covered and helped our allies as well.
The fact that Croatia has moved in and taken just about all of Mexico, their new worldly positioning shows they want out of that area. Which to me makes little sense if they had struck a deal with Spain as well.
Bottom line with Spain, unless my info is wrong they will be knocking at our door shortly and we have only 1 RM bonus.. The whole Spain deal was a waste, and now we just pissed off Indo and them and ONE will be knocking at our door.
Secondly, RESOURCES:
Brazil is moving fast in grabbing resources, they have full resources spread where needed. I hate to be Imperialistic, but we need to grab up some resources. Some how, some way. We are going to need them, mainly Weapon resources at this point. Other countries see the value in this, how come we are so blind to this? We had Spains resources, we let that go. A^2 planned on resources from Indo, but that was a huge oversight. Personally a dumb one anyway as the main resources they held were owned by AUS. I'm not saying we should invade and take what we want, but right now Baja is there ripe for the picking. We are going to need that resource especially if we are facing impending invasion. A^2 has done what he promised with Spain, and I stand with him as President, but he needs to lock up our shores and make sure the eUS is safe now and in the future. Though if we are invaded, it won't be the first time and we will prevail.
A tricky situation with Mexico:
We have had a non-written non-aggression pact Treaty with Mexico... IE, we don't touch you, you don't touch us. However now that Croatia has taken Mexico's Regions, if Spain / ONE / whomever retakes any of the Mexican Regions, who's to say they won't use Mexico as a foothold to invade the eUS. We should take Baja before Croatia sucks it up so we at least get the Salt Peter bonus we could very much use right now esp with an impending war knocking at our door.
A strategic regrouping with Eden and Terra would be a wise move, I hope A^2 is at least considering this. Once ONE hit's our shores which is bound to happen soon, we won't be any threat to Indo and what little we have done will most likely be retaken via RW's quite quickly.
Sorry for no pretty pictures but I felt I needed to get right to the point and typed this up quick. A^2 has done well with in regards to Spain, but he should of sat and held Spain and it's resources before moving into Info. This could be a major blunder. It's obvious the move into Indo was too fast and not thinking of the repercussions. In A^2's second term he came in and finished off Spain, but I believe he was a bit brazen with Indonesia. I think he should have a third term as it will be needed to fix the current mess. Or at least he should go into overdrive so the next PotUS doesn't have a giant mess plopped on his desk. If A^2 dives out he'll be known as the George Bush of eRep proclaiming "Mission Accomplished" and passing on the crap-mess to the next PotUS.
One of the Best things to come out of this so far:
The reoganization of Australia, most of their regions have been freed and once their country is re-established they are going to need to help themselves in fending off Indo as we will soon have our hands full. Also, to be honest, we're likely going to need their help as well if ONE comes at us full bore.
In my finals words I hope that A^2 made a deal or some sort of treaty otherwise the Spain wipe was a short blip in the history of eRep and the start of another WW.

Were not attacking enough. Spain came at us strong and fast. And we seem to have sat there like a deer in headlights. And through all of that we didn't even keep Papua. I think the current administration is good at coordinating attacks with our allie's. But seem to fall short in attack consistency.
Personally I think the administration had shifted their entire focus on Indo, thinking things would go similarly as they did with Spain. However they greatly underestimated the differences between the 2 and at the same time had no occupation plan to hold Spain. What did they expect Spain to do? The plan should have been to kill and occupy and fight down the RW's until Spain had drained their banks and resources and became a crippled country. Bad judgement throughout...
Were going to get raped now for wiping indo

Wiping Spain allowed Poland to get her empire back and Serbia to smash Croatia.
Taking Java allowed Spain to recover and for Cypriot iNCi to be hit.
As long as America refuses to adopt the Chinese and Brazilian stance of taking 100/100 out of safe, local areas then all you can do is continue to launch spoiling attacks on your enemies and hope that no-body in Terra or EDEN makes a bad call and leaves you exposed.

This administration screwed up big time on every level. A real disappointment.
It is all a balancing act. We needed to decide whether to hold on to the Spanish regions or to attempt to wipe out Indonesia. No way could we accomplish both. The intent of the Executive was probably to get rid of the ping pong match that are battles with Spain had become and to energize our players with a new Natural Enemy. Thank you for turning your wisdom into an excellent article.
