The Inaugural Article of the Essex County Tribune

Day 3,610, 18:32 Published in USA USA by Thomas Caggiano

Today is the official launch of The Essex County Tribune, a Right of Center Libertarian Newspaper written for the residents of New Jersey, the greater Tri-State Area and the eUSA as a whole.

While I cannot promise you that you will agree with everything that we write, and that you read, What I can promise you, and what I will promise you, is that this Journal will adhere strictly to the Five Principle of our Charter in every article, story and column;

1) Truth and Accuracy is our Cardinal Rule, and we will always strive for veracity, candor and the sincerity of the facts as we know them.
2) Independence is one of our most important Principles. While we have a Political affiliation and beliefs, we will always make them clear and declare any of our political affiliations, financial arrangements or other personal information that might constitute a conflict of interest so that you, the reader, can form a full, knowledgeable opinion on what you read.
3) Fairness and Impartiality will be a pillar of this institution, and we will endeavor to provide objectivity, balance and context in every article to earn the trust and confidence of our readers.
4) Humanity is the cornerstone of our society, and we will consider the impact of our writing on the lives of others. As stoic as a Doctor, we will do no harm
5) Accountability is something severely lacking in this industry, but we promise all of our readers that it is not something that will be lacking here. When we commit errors, we will correct them. When we make mistakes, we will own up to them. When we do wrong, we will hold ourselves accountable, just as we will hold those in power in accountability. We share this burden and this honor, and we will listen to our audience and their concerns.

We hope only that we can be a paper of repute, worthy of our readership and empathetic to their concerns, needs and beliefs. I belief that a Newspaper is far more than just black and white. It is the free expression of ideas and an exercise in our Fundamental Rights as Human Beings. I only hope that I can live up to these ideals.

Thank you for reading, and God Bless the eUSA!
