Namaste.

If liberty and equality, as is thought by some, are chiefly to be found in democracy, they will be best attained when all persons alike share in government to the utmost. – Aristotle

What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy? – Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Mean time, in Romania a big/small tragedy occurs. Over 30 dead and more than 150 injured.
Even if Romania had only 20 millions it is not so much. Many more die every year in car crashes, because the bad roads, or in hospital because the bad management and care system, or because they where subdued to severe poverty.

This particular incident got a nation wide impact because something else happen, after that.
Citizens began to protest and, from a day to another, they began to remember and impute to Government, at the beginning, all the bad things in them lifes.

Then, they think better and remembered that all politicians are alike, and all political class where blamed.
In the end, even the Church was blamed, because priests got too much wealth comparing to average peoples.

Meantime, Europe is thinking to reinvent democracy, under the pressure of the million migrants that came from Pakistan, Afghanistan, North Africa and (some, about 30😵 from Syria.
Those migrants wave result in building fences on Europe borders and even mighty Germany want to be protected. By the small poor country from east Europe, of course.

Now, because you, my friends, are wise (at least that kind of wisdom that a normal life gave to humans), please tell me, how could democracy be improved, reinvented?

I ask this question to you, because the forth father of India, Gandhi (the old one), was reluctant to democracy and want some sort of representation of all in the governance / exercise of power, so I think something from he’s ideas must have survived in you.
