No, I'm with Jeiry here this would make for spam of referenda. This idea could perhaps be used for exceptional cases where a congress member doesn't agree with an immigration decision under current procedures to see it overturned however.

Congressmembers are chosen for a reason. CS-policy is an important part of their job, let them decide about it.
If a referendum shall be organised for every citizenshiprequest, the referenda for exceptional matters will lose their value.

Currently it aren't congress members who decide about CS-policy but the gov what also doesn't make sense cause it is just as much against game mechanics. Gov actually has nothing to do with game mechanics but is purely a role playing thing.

Everyone (all eBe citizens) would be able to vote on these referendums. A CM wouldn't give a pass if it is voted down unless he openly admits to try to PTO the country and this could give serious consequences to the CM and his party...

The President and Congress make up the Republic of Belgium ingame. They are democratically elected and are the only citizens capable of creating laws, accepting CS, declaring NE and war. So that is not a government and I'm silly?

good job a vegan. it's grand that someone outside lcc understand the importance and advantages of direct democracy. sooner or later the referenda inevitably become a regular daily routine, when u wake up in the morning, take a piss, sip and bite, read the news and cast a few votes.

Linoleum the problem is that each LCC member casts a few votes on every proposal 😛 Also, there is no such thing as an actual direct democracy anywhere because it doesn't work. Closest thing is Switzerland and they're a republic ingame as well. Keep on whining though....

Try looking at it another way instead. Enable all and allow the miscreants to be punished.

Allow governments to set a citizenship fee, and the ability to revoke citizenship as a cm and cp proposal.
People with no citizenship receive 0 resources bonuses and pay local tax.
