New Players Look Here [Focus: Your 2nd week]
USA Department of the Interior
If you are not a new player, please take a minute to vote and subscribe. This is a permanent series for the Department of Interior focused on getting new players educational information and easy access to government resources. Getting these articles into the top 5-10 is a huge step toward visibility, so please help out!
Welcome to eRepublik and welcome to the eUS! The focus of these articles is to give you access to both information and resources that can help make your first few weeks in the game easier and more enjoyable.
The first thing you should know is that the United States has an official message board outside of the game. On this you will find a section called "Welcoming Committee" where you can ask any questions that you have and get help if you should need it. This is also where a large portion of our community meets to discuss current events in the game, game mechanics, and just talk in general. You can these forums by clicking this link: The official United States Forum for eRepublik.
Another important place you can check for information is the eRepublik Wikipedia site. You can find this here: eRepublik Wikipedia. On that site, you will find a large part of the information you will need to learn how to play the game. A few key articles from the Wikipedia are:
Experience and Features
Work
Food
Train
Fight
These will teach you the basics of the game and help you to get off on the right foot.
You should also know that the eUS government has programs that can help you should you need it.
The Meals on Wheels program that can help you get started by giving you FREE food. To sign up for this program visit here: Meals on Wheels
The eUS Mentor Program can help you by pairing you with a Mentor who can help you learn the game and answer any questions that you have. To sign up for a mentor visit: Mentor Program
If you're looking for a hand while on the eRepublik website, check out the In game chat. While in there, look for the Flying Unicorn Squadron, they can help if you need it.
This edition's educational focus is on Days 7 to 15!
Introduction ( Experience Points)
First off, make sure you live in Florida, California or Karnataka (recommended) so you can participate in the war that is going on at the present time.
If you need a ticket you can request one from The Flying Unicorn Squadron
Level 7 (40 experience points)
+ Join a political party.
- Forum
- Rankings
- Register on your party’s forum by clicking the Debate Area button or sending the party president a private message.
- Political parties are the best way to get active in politics and are great for meeting new people while becoming an integral part in your party’s structure.
Level 8 (50 experience points)
+ Create a newspaper.
- Creating a newspaper
- Newspaper Rules
- Newspapers are great for expressing your personal views, running for Congress, and providing relevant information for your company, political party, or organization.
- Media Forum
Level 9 (65 experience points)
+ Create a company.
- At this level, you are entirely capable of creating a company, but it is not advisable for you to do so until you can make an organization.
- If you create a company with your character, you cannot work and you lose wellness everyday that you own the company.
Level 10 (80 experience points)
+ Create a chat.
- Participate in the eRepublik chat system by purchasing your own personal chat room.
- Inadvisable to create a chat room though, at a price of 10 gold per chat room is a rather hefty cost for beginners to the game. Just join IRC chats (need link)
Level 11 (90 experience points)
+ Create an organization.
- Organizations are essential if you plan to create a company.
- Organizations also have 20 inventory slots that are useful for holding excess inventory without having to purchase more inventory slots for your character.
- Also, you can vote and subscribe with organizations as well, which is vital to maintaining control of our media and assisting with Media Mogul projects.
Level 12 (100 experience points)
+ Become a candidate for Congress.
- One of the highest levels of political participation, there are many ins and outs to being a member of Congress in any country.
- The support of your party or another party in the top five when vying for a Congressional seat is necessary.
- Try to contact one of the party presidents in the top five parties to ensure that you go through the political process with the right approach.
- Congress Forum
Level 13 (125 experience points)
+ Create a party
+ Become a candidate for party president.
- The leader of your party, retaining all responsibility for developing the party both internally and polishing its external appeal.
Level 14 (200 experience points)
+ Become a presidential candidate.
- A feat very few accomplish, being president of a country is one of the most complicated positions to hold in eRepublik and has a major impact on the game as a whole.
Running for POTUS (President of the United States), should not be taken lightly as we are one of the largest countries in the world and usually the winner has around 2500 votes or more.
Level 15 (300 experience points)
+ Buy up to 40 Wellness Boxes per day.
- Wellness Boxes replenish your wellness at ten wellness per two gold
Wellness Boxes serve a specific purpose, they are used by tanks in the military to do maximum damage. You could ideally go over 6 months before you even use a WP(Wellness Pack). Best use of your gold would be to either buy weapons or purchase a house to increase how much wellness you gain everyday.
That's it for this edition. Please take a moment to VOTE and subscribe to this paper.

+ Buy up to 40 Wellness Boxes per day.
- Wellness Boxes replenish your wellness at ten wellness per two gold
Whoa, Maxx, hold on a second here, do you think you could at least mention that you can replenish ten Wellness a day for only 9.30 USD (at the current price of 1 Q1 gifts per 0.93 cents)?
Related to that, do you think you could add as a benefit of creating an organization a little something known as "self-gifting"...?
Even without an organization, if you have a gifting partner, you can get 10 Wellness a day for about 0.2604 gold (at current exchange rate of 0.028 gold per USD) as opposed to 2 gold.
I'm Level 20, nearly Level 21, and I've never bought a Wellness Box in my life. Then again, I've never really tried to tank, either.
Point is, by using Gifts instead of Wellness Boxes whenever possible, you're putting that money back into the eAmerican economy instead of it just disappearing from the economy.
THIS will come in handy!
Awesome work!
Voted & Subbed! ~
Also:
Astra has it right.
NEVER BUY WELLNESS BOXES UNLESS YOU INTEND TO TANK!
Not only have I had two friends make that mistake, but even I used Wellness Boxes when I was a newb. Total waste. 😛
Astra, the goal is not to recommend Wellness Boxes, this article is purely informational and lays out what each level unlocks on those particular days.
For the record, I also wouldn't recommend buying a company at level 9, a Chat Room at level 10, or trying to run for president at level 14.
GREAT JOB!! Shout this for the newbies guys!

Outstanding!
This is really freakin' comprehensive.
voted, of course!
Vote + unsub Great guide, but I'll have to say:
"Lame"
This would be far more useful if it were immediately emailed to all new players.
Tkais: The beginning part of the article (plus a bit more info) is sent to all new players in the US via the Community Development Program. This is part of the DoI media push that will have a rotating "focus" every few days.
>For the record, I also wouldn't recommend buying a company at level 9, a Chat Room at level 10, or trying to run for president at level 14.
PFFT, DO EET!
Lol, but seriously, spending gold on things like that, or on making a newspaper, is something I feel is a personal choice to try out the game. I wouldn't recommend it, but I sure as heck wouldn't recommend AGAINST it like I would the gold-wasting Wellness Boxes.
I get that it's a list of what gets unlocked at various levels, but I feel like any mention of a Wellness Box, anywhere, should always come with a warning not to do it unless you're a high Strength, experienced tank.
Point taken Astra. I'll pass those thoughts along to the DoE, as most of this series is simply a reprint of their materials.
Seems to me that any helpful info will keep more players in the game...isnt that the bottom line?
