Ministry of Security

An update on the dealings of the Ministry of Security:
Department of Defence
Director Austerion is currently working on several levels to optimize our defence forces.
I will not elaborate on this since the DoD has it's own press section.
Department of Intelligence
I will only report on the overt operations of the DoI. Director Dagari is currently working to turn public opinion in Indonesia to our favour. The objective of his mission is to clear the way for a diplomatic solution on the issue of occupation of South African territories.
Short and hopefully sweet from the Ministry of Security.

Yeah..Indos.
And if they won´t leave...We´ll throw them out.

I'm certain a diplomatic solution is available. It's not like the Indos have it in for us, or really even care much about our provinces...

Thanks Rico its a great start to inform the public! We should have weekly progress reports on these matters from the Ministers.
Keep it up!
Diplomacy and media are just two methods we are currently working on. I am in touch with others who would like to help us free our lands through other means as well.
No problems with diplomacy first. Also think that we should play well with others who play well with us. If that includes becoming an active and involved alliance member, then so be it. And why would it be unfair to treat someone well who has treated us well, providing that they choose to take "the positive path".
.
Paying gold to an uninvited guest is not something I would be in favour of. I wonder if our guests are playing for time or honestly wishing to be helpful?
.
It is a shame that the eWorld is so limiting, but I suppose we should not prattle about the negative until the positive is exhausted some more. Still, a time limit and a plan for unfortunate events might be wise, especially in these turbulent times.
There's only so long we can wait for our lands to be freed. That is why I am exploring ALL options with our enemies and especially with our new and old friends.

You don't need to wait for a chance too long!
There's not much we can do about that right now. We have troops still fighting in Romania and I am still talking to the Indos as well as possible allies. Unless our Security Minister knows something I don't, those resistance fighters are going to be slaughtered. We need to coordinate these actions.
Yes Mr President, sir!
These new developments are being discussed in the Liberation room of the forum. All those with access are advised to join in.
As Minister of Justice, I do have to clarify a point made above about alliances. I believe our Constitution...as currently constructed...prevents us from alliances. I think we should reconsider that in our task force work.
The official stand is a guarantee of neutrality in return for territory. We're not negotiating for a violation of the constitution.
Maybe I was reading it wrong, but I thought it was more to prevent alliances with the Indos or PEACE. We are still officially neutral in any case. I am only looking into how an alliance might benefit us.
I'd like to see our Constitution be more open to allowing alliances - at least those that don't include Indonesia. If we must use the aggressive option to retrieve our lands, then an alliance will be necessary.
Thanks Judge Banko for keeping us within the letter of the law.
What I wish to know is, why is the intelligence bureau dealing with propaganda? o_O
Surely it is more befitting of the ministry of education or, god forbid, the ministry of foreign affairs? 😛
It simply amuses me, trying to understand the logic behind it... Please put me out of my misery. :3
That was a holdover from the ERD administration, but I approved the action. The Media Surge is mainly for gauging the Indo response to South African Liberation, to find out if there is any support for our cause, and to prepare the ground for possible negotiations. So far it has shown me that most Indos view us with contempt and are not at all interested in giving up anything. It may be propaganda, but the intelligence gleaned from the operation has been helpful.
You may have a point, Sn4ke, but the operation was one of 3 proposed by Dagari and was the only one approved by both ERD and I. Technically maybe it does belong in another Ministry, but that is debatable. I supported Dagari taking control of this because he had the plans in place and was prepared to move the day I took office. If someone can get the job done quickly and correctly even if it overlaps another area, then I will approve it. Maybe this is wrong, but for me the results of an action are more important than the its details.
Bureacracy is good when it makes business flow smoother. It is bad when it restricts us from taking the easiest path. Intel Department resides under the Ministry of Security.
How is improving the Indonesian opinion of South Africa not a matter of national security?
I suppose...
Damn, now i've gotta start writing XD
Operation Media Surge has ended, so don't bother writing any articles for the Indos.
