I am only going to go over it short because:
1. It is emotional to me and others.
2. This is RL Issue.
In 1974, Turkish troop invade our island becuase of 'destress' of Turkish Cypriot. Killed, missing, homeless...200,000 people, Greek and Turk!!!

this article is supporting lightly the turkish imperials🙂 .. respect ..one imperial invasion it is not peaceful. you can not balance the damage of greeks with turks in the island 🙂 🙂 the winner was turkish imperial machine and the elit of turkey...from no rights to the island now those persons who have the capital is control the north and maybe will attack south..remember that south is more FREE and more independent state and we have not other army's except the English colonel bases. @Jochhi:
ziziros@ you are right ...Jochhi@..actually some guys from north and south like to show that all greeks are "Junta-Eokab" and balance the damage and the looses of Greeks with Turks.. if you really believe in one united Cyprus you must be more objective. Light promotions i think belongs to the past ..

I am greek, i chose not to take sides in this article...I am talking about 1974, akrotiri and delekia is a diferent dispute...
jochi@ you are no a fantasized person ..do not think that i try to stigmatize you or put you in any group .. in all the world are persons who are cool and persons who likes problems.. for example in Turkey you can find good people like good from greece, etc 🙂 the problem is with people who fantasized i write an article and i am trying to show the limits of those persons ..they are unlimited
About bases ...bases, remind us in Cyprus to remember who is really command the north and the south parts.1955 Revolution fighters if knew that in 2012 still be a colonel maybe they where doing something else in 1955..e.x play football..and for young guys ..as greekcypriots we fail.. it is better to have the english than the greekcypriot intermediaries and representatives of "English Kingdom" those m@son politics are wasting money and they destroy our economy with special favors..
about REAL turkishcypriots: real turkishcypriots wave not many deferences from us ..most of them escape from Northern Cyprus ... ask one original turkishcypriot to explain you about the "northern" status ..
