Indonesian PTO attempt in senate elections:

Citizens, we may have a minor takeover attempt in our Senate this election.
Sapasaia is currently running as a member of the Australian Independents.
He is a former Indonesian President and was a part of the Angel Demon PTO that we faced last year.
True, it is only one member to begin with, but with that one member, he can let in more legit voters, just like they did last time. (And lets not even start with that party that was screaming and shouting about how "undemocratic" of us to try and stop our country getting wiped out)
PTOs always start small. I guarantee you there will be more to come in future months 🙁
Anyway: What we need is for people to hold their votes, and to get onto IRC to organise for who to vote for. We want to keep him from getting elected if we possibly can. It won't be easy - but we have to try. Anyone who was here for any significant amount of time last year should remember how bad things were when we had Indonesians in our senate.

(NOTE: FOUR candidates get elected from each state)
We would need to get 4 of those candidates one vote clear of Sapasaia in order to stop him getting elected, as he has a higher level than all but savonrepus. Good luck, eAustralia.

Actually, just to insert some facts here: Paul Hamon couldnt stop him from running. There would need to have been four other legitimate candidates running in the AI in South Australia for that to have been possible.
(No, whether he WOULD have acted had that been the case is a different matter. I doubt he would have, personally)

Help me out here because I've never been a PP. To qualify a candidate list, is there a minimum quota based on population or something to the like?
Nope. its based upon the number of senators that can get elected into a region. For instance, when we have 7 states, 5 candidates are "official" candidates, the PP gets to choose which of these they are. We have 8 now (with Chimor), so its only four. There was two candidates in the AI (James Keane and sapasaia), so even if Hamon wanted too, he couldnt have rejected him.
Its the sort of thing that brings me down. Indos exhorting each other to fight with "pride"
yet these dirty tricks being applied. Indos involved would not understand the concept of either pride or shame.
And we have muppets that let these people in.
Is there any way we can act to take away the power of James Revan and Paul Harmon - if they are not out & out traitors, they are totally negligent/incompetent

Now, Timmeh, if Paul wanted to, he could have messaged party members asking them to stand as blockers. If I could secure all of our lists with 50 or so party members back in the dark days of the angledemon PTO then it shouldn't have meant any difficulty with 77 people now for PH. Provided he wanted to stop the PTO'er from running, of course, but as we very well know he's just a medal hunter.
And don't tell me there wasn't enough time. Had he cared about ATO he would have started to work on securing the AI's lists the moment he saw an Indonesian join his party. That's a lot of work, I know, so my bad.

Kevin, I was the one that raised the issue of the Indonesian PTO back in March last year (dont believe me? check my newspaper articles). Infin was the one that indirectly help them win, by bullying folks into ignoring the ATO efforts of the majority of people trying to keep Australia Australian.
