The Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization is quite possibly the most important Bureau within the State Department, as they are the only Bureau that deals directly with an in-game function, the granting of citizenship. Will Walton Is the Director of the BIN, and I had a chance to chat with him recently.
S5: I see you were eBorn about 13 days after me....
WW: Yep, Back in august.
S5: How was it growing up during WW3, and how did you come to State?
WW: It was really exciting to see the map change basically every day, a great way to learn game mechanics. I came into the CTF as an IEA a few months ago, taught by Herrn Sterling. I remember I was recruited by someone in the Libs channel, might have been Brad actually.
S5: So how do you feel about being one of the guys that helps keep our eBorders safe?
WW: It's awesome! Finance was never my thing, but working out problems to keep us safe was, i'm glad i found my niche. I'm an Ambassador too, so I'm spread out in the State Department.
S5: For the readers who wouldn't know, can you sum up how the BIN, CTF and Congress all contribute to being a literal safety net against PTOs?
WW: The BIN includes the CTF and makes sure it's in line with Congress in reviewing all incoming citizenship applications. We assure that only legitimate requests are approved. Preventing enemy citizens from slipping through the cracks allows us to insure that no possible PTO's occur, even if it is difficult in a large nation like ours.
S5: yeah even a small leak can be dangerous over time, I agree. In what areas are you in need of new recruits?
WW: We are trying to find a few potential new deputy Immigration Enforcement Agents. (IEA's)

The BIN Director is Will Walton, and his Deputy is Brent Abernathy. The Citizens' Task Force is headed by Irashi, and the head IEA's are LaurenBug, cristovan molia, and Adam Wedepohl.
Recently, State had two people leave its ranks. TheSpartan left the CTF late last week. And recently Q2M100 has left the game after an excellent military career and as the Regional Boss of the Americas for the BAA. I wish them the best of luck on their future endeavors.
The State Department is looking for graphics! We could potentially use logos for the different Bureaus of State. I'd love to see someone help finish the Ambassador Userbar collection. I'd also love to see someone make an animated gif out of this video. Anyone willing to sketch out some ideas for new logos would be great. Candidates for this work must be willing to jump through several bureaucratic hoops, have many people sign off on your creation, and quite possibly have to sign Form RT9-XJ. Still interested?
