Ho hum, hat in ring for Congress

Day 2,618, 20:33 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Madelina de Melrose

Yes, it's that time again. I'm running again in hopes that maybe this month we'll have a government that communicates.

The month before last we had too few territories to have a legal Congress. So we had an unofficial one, with the previous month's members, and it was lively and active and (for once) civil.

This past month, Congress might as well have not bothered. We've been asked to approve MPPS, the odd NE - and a bunch of proposed messages to new members. Problem was, they were downright dumb. Stuff you'd expect from preadolescent boys (I used to lead Boy Scouts, my son's troop, so I know how silly they can be).

In other words, we had a dictatorship this month under the "leadership" of Sir Fartsalot (who is otherwise an excellent foreign affairs analyst).

So my hopes is that this coming month we'll have a bunch of grownups in Congress and the Government, no trolls, no flamers, no gross stupidity. Well, one can always hope!

Incidentally, when elected, I have agreed to be TUP's Chief Whip. At least our party will show well....
