Got greedy and the system stopped me in my tracks

Day 868, 09:45 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by suhaw

Earlier, I was doing some research and I stumbled across Hungary which currently offers mid-level Construction workers like me wages that surpasses the price of L5 Food in that country.

Here in UK, while I can afford L4 Food at my pay scale, moving to Hungary would allow me to improve my wellness at a faster rate than currently.

Anyway, to cut the long story short, I tried to change my location to Hungary, then eRepublik told me to resign from my current company first. And when I tried to do that, I was barred because I had not spend enough days working at this company.

I suppose this is akin to the IRL practice of giving notice to one's company before quitting. The interesting twist is that there is no similar requirement the other way around, ie the company can fire me at whim without notice and there is no obligation to maintain a hire for a certain number of days. But I suppose that is fair because whenever anybody applies to a company, the hiring is immediate if there is any vacancy.

So, I guess I'll stick around for a few more days until I am freed by my company and then re-do the research. Unless I was mis-reading, the economic situation appears to have changed significantly over the past few days that I was doing piecemea reserach.
