eUK Library - eUK's New Source Of Knowledge
Vault Guy
Hello Fellow Citizen!
Some may have already heard of The eUK Library, but many of you haven't. Therefore I have decided to create this article in the hope that eUK citizens know this website is available to them if they require help.
The eUK Library is a new website which was created to provide our eUK citizens with all the knowledge and help they need to live and play in the world of eRepublik.
The initial idea of a library was thought up and created by the mighty Jimbobfrey who founded the library on behalf of the MoHA. When I saw the first released website for the library, I thought it was a superb idea, and therefore I wanted to help expand the library to a new website which allows the creation of guides and pages of information on the website itself, rather than linking them. And so eUK Library Mark II was born.
The Library currently contains guides to the different modules, writing a newspaper, finances and more. It has information on alliances, military units and political parties within eUK, all in one simple, easy to access place. And more and more helpful information is being created each day to provide knowledge to our valued citizens.
One of the best aspects of the library is that anyone is able to edit the site! This means information can and is added by not just us, but much more experienced players who would like to share their knowledge.
If you would like to add and edit the pages of the eUK Library, contact either me (Vault Guy) or Jimbobfrey via private message on eRepublik. Or alternatively, you can fill the in the form here: http://www.euklibrary.co.uk/editorapp.
The Library also provides instant help and can answer any questions citizens have to ask on the eUK Library's IRC Channel - #eUK-Library

Have A Great Day,
Vault Guy.

not sure where the govt lack of support comes from...
pretty sure BaE sponsored it from the get go
We probably should have explained what we meant but this stems from what we've heard from SOME government members, not all. BAE has been absolutely great and it was not about BAE at all. We've just had some heavy criticism from a couple of other government members. If you want, I could send you a message to explain further.
I think I know what you mean 🙂 I was referring more to the point that BaE has backed this.
"The initial idea of a library was thought up and created by the mighty Jimbobfrey who founded the library on behalf of the MoHA."
Goddam bro, I founded the first Library a year or so ago -______-
Sorry, this sentence was very ambiguous. I think VaultGuy meant that this is the only 'open-source' library because it is free to edit once the form is filled in. Sorry if this caused offence, I don't think it was meant like that at all - it just needed more clarity.
And I refounded it a couple months ago, as suggested by Waynekerr...
Sorry, as I said to Betafoxtrot, I think it was a case of clarity. I think VaultGuy meant the only 'open-source' library (i.e. not an in-game article). Sorry if it caused offence, it wasn't meant to sound like it was targeting you.
They may both be called 'Library's' although the concept is completely different. The previous library only could be edited by the MoHA and consisted of information only created by the eUK government. This new library acts as an actually library. Writers within eUK are able to add their own content from their own experiences. It is not purely guides and articles written by the MoHA.
The original Library could have non MoHA writers and their articles would be linked, provided they were up to standard, and everything could be kept IG. In fact originally because the thing was new some of the articles in the Library were written by non-MoHA people but immortalised by the MoHA org newspaper.
This library is 'open-source' and very much community based. Yes, a library could be used in-game as it was previously but having it off-site allows it to be directly edited - that gives it more of a community feel. We want as many people as possible to use the library and we're trying our best to make it feel like a community (like the eUK forums does) so that people are attracted to it. That's why we want an off-site library rather than an in-game library. Same function but a different way of doing things.
extremely good idea.
Good idea. Voted and subbed.
From then until now, the eUK Library has had 9 more unique visitors (89 visitors) and over 100 more page views.
Stats updated. Will try to update them every day, that's if I remember to.
