Emergent and Ready Talent

Day 3,175, 19:45 Published in USA USA by Derphoof

About two years ago, this past March, the Black Sheep Party lept onto the scene of major American politics, following the merger of the Liberty Advancement Party and We The People into the current version of the WTP that we see today.

This was not a particularly easy time in the history of eAmerican politics. Tensions boiled over consistently between those in the traditional major parties and those in the Black Sheep. While the emergence of the party was necessary to make sure we had five strong parties with their own identity, culture, and cohesion (unlike the LAP which served as an ATO buffer), many people took issue with the BSP. People in the party were labeled as traitors, thieves, and worse by some of the most vocal people in Congress. Many people held a disdain for them, as the new kids on the block became a forceful voting bloc for lower taxes in Congress.

Resoula was eBorn into this environment of toxicity and poisonous politics.

From the beginning, he made himself visible in the media with literacy contests, as well as media to promote the Black Sheep as an anti-establishment party. He contributed positively to the game both in-game and on the boards of the “meta-game.” He did not get caught up in the bluster of the day and the shouting matches that resulted. While he was not always in the thick of things, preferring to sit back and lurk in discussions, whenever he did contribute it was always a thoughtful opinion and respectable to those around him.

This is Resoula. He could have easily taken cues from the toxic attitudes, but he did not. He is a thoughtful, knowledgeable, respectful and competent player in this game, as well as a positive member of our community.

In the past several months, he took a more active role in the game. Back in December, he was voted in as Speaker of the House for the January session. In that time, he proved to be a good moderator who was respectful of each party and their representatives. Just as well, he did not think too highly of himself to be above admitting fault.

Since his stint as Speaker, when he proved himself to be an active player, capable of a larger role, he took on positions in the executive. In April and May, he was a part of the NSC team that worked tirelessly to make sure we got the resources we needed. The man knows the military and how to coordinate battles. When Yui ran for CP, he was selected as VP for good reason. He’s a quality guy to have around to bounce ideas off of, and he can handle any situation. Just as well, he is more than capable of stepping into the role of Executive, in case something happened.

In his capacity in these roles, he also coordinated with our allies in Pacifica and abroad. He’s always been respectful and willing to work with our allies in any situation, whether politically or militarily. Yet, he’s not a pushover by any means. He works to advance American interests and will fiercely defend our nation when people criticize or wrongly accuse us. He was quick to jump in and counter detractors of our foreign affairs in the media, and used his own paper to correct the record.

Tyler is running for president on the premise that some people need to be moved around into new roles to prepare them for the job. Sure, the case can be made for that, and Tyler is a trusted steady hand. I too spoke of fostering new talent in my failed campaigns. However, now is not the time to cultivate new talent to take the position.

A new talent is already here. It has emerged and has proven itself worthy and more than capable of holding the top job.

That candidate is Resoula, and it’s why I’ll be voting for him come August 5th.
